My daughter and I spent time baking too.One of her requests was to make her Grandmothers Crescent cookies.
Oh my goodness looking at this photo I am noticing how tall my daughter is!I am not wearing shoes and neither is she…..crazy!
Thank you to my niece again for making these sweet aprons.
Grandmother’s Crescent cookie recipe. This is the basic recipe that can be found anywhere. But this is a handwritten recipe and makes it so special.Just thinking she held this recipe card in hand as she baked these delicious cookies. And now sharing it with my daughter.
This year I wanted my daughter to do the baking. This is a really easy cookie to make. She had fun baking I was just her assistant.
This recipe is so good.As you can see you use lots and lots of butter. One pound to be exact! They melt in your mouth yum!
While these were baking we decided to try some of the cookies we received last night from family.
Don’t they look delicious! And they are as good as they look.No actually even better!
Thumbs up great cookie!
Let’s check and see how ours is doing.
Here are few added to a plate. These are so good. But only in moderation. We will be giving more of these out to family. They won’t last long.
We still have more cookies to bake.
As you can see from my sidebar I changed my profile photo. My husband took it.The first photo was one I took myself.A little too close in my opinon. And my Mom told me she didn’t like it either.Hope she likes this one better.
Did you spend quality time with your family this weekend?Did you bake any cookies?Played in the snow? Please share.

Anne- What great pictures of you and your daughter. I love your new profile picture, too. I wish I COULD be baking. My ovens have not worked since before Thanksgiving and now they have figured out it is a harness and are waiting for the part to come in. It is driving me nuts- xo Diana
That is so nice….the two of you baking together in the kitchen! Your daughter IS tall! She growing into a beautiful young woman. Those cookies look delicious. I will be baking next week. My poor family is tired of waiting on me! LOL! I will give some away too I’m sure. Thanks for sharing that recipe. May give those a try.
What a cute post. Any time spent with a daughter is a good time. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen chatting over tea. Love the aprons and the cookies look delish. Have a fun week; it’s comin’ fast. 🙂 Deb
You and your daughter are adorable. Wonderful photo. Your niece did a great job on those aprons. Very cute! I agree, nothing like a handwritten recipe. Such a sweet memory. The looks look delicious! Love your new profile picture!

What a sweet picture of you and your daughter in your matching aprons! The cookies look delish! My neighbor used to make the same cookies and give a plate to my family…Yum!
Cute profile pic! I need a new pic, too, if I ever get around to it.
Oh Anne, you and your daughter are so cute together! I sure miss those days. You are blessed my dear friend and the cookies sounds and look so good!
hugs…
Looks so fun and you two look so cute. Love the aprons!
Have a great Christmas! Love the new profile picture.
You both look wonderful. I can’t get over how much she has grown over the last year. Glad you all like the aprons. The aprons are a replica of an apron my mom, your sis-in-law, gave me over twenty years ago. So it’s somewhat vintage. Cookies look great. House looks beautiful as always. Wish we could have been at the dinner. Hugs to all.
that looks like so much fun the aprons look so cute 😉
love Glory
Hi Anne! I’m so glad you were able to spend some time with your family this weekend. You and your daughter look so cute together; you can tell that you both had a wonderful time making those cookies. It truly is special to use handwritten recipes that have been passed down from one generation to another.
Love those aprons. I have potholders made from the same fabric.
Have a great day! Julie
