This was my first post HERE
My home looked much different than it does now.
I had so much to learn in the beginning and still have much to learn!
Like responding to comments.I wanted to respond to each and everyone one and I still do!
But should I respond on my blog?Should I respond through my email?
What do I say?How do I address all of my readers? As I said in my first post I am not a writer. When I write I write the way I speak.
When I started this blog I wanted to share my love of decorating and creating.
And room by room I have transformed my home into the home I have always wanted.
I am working on my photography skills too.But I think I have gotten much better since my first post.
One thing I have learned is to never use a flash. That can really ruin a photo.Natural light is the best and you can edit and lighten a photo too.
I think the biggest change in my home was my kitchen. And my favorite thing is my ladder across my cabinets.
I have met some fellow bloggers in person and what a treat! I hope in the coming year to meet more of you! I do feel though even if I have not met many of you that you are friends.I really do enjoy reading and responding to each and everyone one of you.My blog is still small and I am glad I can still do that.I also love following all of your blogs too!I have learned so much creatively by visiting you too!
I hope you don’t mind that I have shared some personal stories.I do try and keep my blog about DIY and design but sometimes I like to share personal things too.
In the next year I am working on some changes and I will share them with you as I go along. One is opening a on-line shop.I also have some projects in the works so stay tuned!
If you want to peek at some of the projects of the past year you can click on those to the right of my page.I would love to have you follow along. You can do that by signing up for google connect or by email at the top of my page and you will be updated with the latest posts.

I think your blog is just perfect and always love visiting! Your home is a work in progress and I always get new ideas from you! I really especially love your kitchen!
I try to email back on comments but can’t always get to everyone, but I do follow a blogroll and try to comment on many blogs…the reading is fun and the pictures inspiring. Keep up the good work!

I’ve enjoyed getting to know you in the last year, Ann and look forward to seeing what you share in the coming year!
Blessings,
Angie @ Knick of Time
So true not to use a flash. It distorts the pictures. So glad I found your blog and am looking forward to 2013.
What a treat it is to watch your home projects come to life. Thanks for sharing your time and talent. Happy New Year to you all. Hugs
You have made your home beautiful and you have great style. Happy New Year!
It is my first time visiting your blog. It is lovely as is your home.

Anne, I love your home and have enjoyed seeing the transformation! I also enjoy your writing style! You have a lovely blog!
I’m surprised to learn you started blogging this year. I’ve had your blog on my blogroll for a few months now, just haven’t had time to go back to the start as I usually try to do. Husband retired this year and now takes up my free time…must find him a new job!
Your home is very country and comfortably beautiful… I’m your newest follower and rss subscriber…
Found you through Rustic Restorations. I love your home! I’m very slow at making my home into what I dream of… small steps I guess. I’m a new follower and look forward to what you do next year.
I’m visiting your for the first time and I really love your home, your kitchen is great!
I’ll continue coming, of course!

Love that photo of the pin roses–makes me yearn for spring! Your photography is lovely. Love your dining table. Looking forward to seeing what you post in 2013!
I started blogging just one week after you did, Anne! 🙂 And I echo many of the same sentiments in your first post… where will this take me? will anyone read these posts? LOL Glad we’ve connected – just another “plus” of our starting our blogs! 🙂
Your home is beautiful and I really love the ladder you put across your cabinets too. It’s been a pleasure getting to know you this year and I look forward to more of your creativity in 2013.
I love your kitchen Anne but I really loved meeting you this past year at Joy’s place. Shortly I will probably be making plans to fly up your to visit son #1 so maybe we can meet up. I would love to come visit your retail space. Happy happy New Year xoxo
Congratulations on a year of blogging. I love stopping in to see your beautiful home. I like to respond to each comment even if it takes me a few weeks to get to it.
I can’t wait to see what else you have in store and in “store” with you online shop.
Katie
Congrats! You do have a lovely home. I don’t know if there is any perfect way to answering comments 🙂 I do love that ladder in your kitchen! Thank you for sharing this at Rustic Restorations weekend.
I love your home and all your fabulous projects!! Happy New Year to you and your family.
Kathy
I love your kitchen…especially the ladder and bottle rack on your island! I’ve also been blogging a little less than a year and struggle with the comments. My biggest problem in that my blog will not allow me to post replies and I can’t get it fixed!! But I do try to visit each person that does leave a comment. I’m the opposite when it comes to writing how I talk…I don’t but I really try to…it seems more personal to me. I was a secretary for many years and find it hard to drop some of those old letter writing habits!! Have a safe and Happy New Year!
Hello Anne, it’s a pleasure to meet you. your home is lovely. Congrats to you. Blogging is addicting! I am happily your newest follower. Happy New year!
your home is so lovely, anne:) i’m looking forward to your new year projects! happy new year to you!
Your house is always such a delight Anne and I appreciate that you have shared it’s journey at Shabbilicious Friday each week. I look forward to following the adventures of White Lace Cottage in 2013.
Happy New Year,
Hugs – Kerryanne
Your home is gorgeous! So happy to have met a new blogger! New Follower. Happy New Year!
Jody
You’ve accomplished SO much in the past year, Anne! I’d be happy to get even a fraction of that done in our home! I’m looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us in the coming year.
Happy New Year!
Anne,
You’ve done a great job on your home. It looks amazing. And your blog is one of my favorites. Unlike my poor pitiful blog (my fault; I don’t spend enough time on it), you’ve done a wonderful job growing and improving yours. I’m really looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us during the coming year.
Have a Happy New Year!
Julie
It’s been fun following you and your beautiful style this past year, Anne! I still have the same questions as you do vis a vis answering comments. We do our best! Happy 2013!
I just love, love, love that kitchen! Found you through Cowgirl Up and plan on following you! Stop by for a visit sometime!
xoxo
Kathleen
Happy One Year Anniversary! Blogging is such a fun activity ; o ) Your kitchen is lovely! Stop by my blog to see my 10 cottage renovations for the year! Happy 2013!
Your kitchen is so charming. I love the ladder too, and those vintage barstools, they are amazing. I struggle with keeping up and responding to everyone too… it’s so frustrating to me when i’m too busy at work or at home and miss everyone’s posts! Ok, off to catch up on you some more!
Cindy
Your home is lovely! I love the all white look, but at this stage in life I’m not sure I could pull it off! Lots of little ones…and a husband who loves color. *sigh* Maybe I could start small…
Blessings
Anne, your pictures are beautiful! I really have to work on mine , still. Thanks for your kind comment on my Silver Buffet..
What a great year, Anne! Thanks for sharing at the Humble Brag! You were our weekly ad space winner!
