It’s crunch time for me as I am closely approaching the Vintage market.
I am planning on bringing a variety of awesome found treasures.
Some painted pieces of furniture, some vintage fabrics, and a fun mix of this and that.
I found these pieces of a vintage fence last summer.
I decided to connect them together and add that pretty rose.
The rose was originally an ugly dirty red I don’t know how else to describe it.
I painted this using a brush with Annie Sloan paint in pure white.
Spray paint could have been used but I like the texture of Annie Sloan paint.
I was inspired to paint it this way because of my sweet friend Rosemary.
She is so talented and amazing.
Rosemary uses gesso and layers many of her creations.
So when I saw this rose I new I could do something a little different than just spray paint it.
If you don’t know Rosemary and I can’t believe you don’t go on over to her beautiful blog Villabarnes .
Don’t you love the chippy paint on this piece!
This will be going off to the Vintage market next week!

I want to sit by her side and create right with her. Do you not feel the same way?

Anne,
This si so gorgeous! I would love to participate in a show like this, but no one does anything like that around here. Maybe I should just do one myself. I live on a farm…..I have acreage! LOL My hubby might not be too happy about it…but during berry season in June, wouldn’t that be such fun?
Thanks for the ideas! I have two old doors and I think I will paint them using Rosemary’s technique. I LOVE her paing styles and her tutorials are so weel done, I might even be able to do it!

Betsy
