Many years ago while browsing through a flea market I came across my first look at sea glass.
I thought it was the most beautiful color I had ever seen.
A soft bluish green with a bit of a haze.
The lady I bought them from told me that if I washed the sea glass bottles really good all that would be clean.
Now why would I want to do that.
The soft haze is part of the patina on this glass.
My collection is quite small but I love grouping them together.
I prefer to keep them just as.
Believe it or not I have never used these bottles as vases.
I guess I am taken with the beauty of the sea glass color all alone.
But as you can see a pink rose does look really sweet with these petite sea glass bottles.
I also love finding the vintage clear glass bottles.
A group of clear bottles really makes a statement .
But my heart is still fond of those pretty sea glass bottles.
Yes I think they are my favorite!
That rose is still from that bunch I found for a bargain deal at the market HERE

It does look best all grouped together and you’re right they don’t even need flowers. They are so pretty all on their own. Such a lovely color!

I always wonder why that color is so soothing, love it also. I collect bottles, smaller ones preferably, to put on a little shelf hubs made, they look really pretty when sunshine comes in on them at certain times of day.
The ones that are taller were medicine bottles or syrup of some kind made many years ago, colored that way to protect the contents. I bought several in MT from antique stores. Love em. I had a lavender one but it got broken darn it. It’s nice to know I’m not only one that loves those bottles. It’s getting harder to find them and then they’re priced really high.

I have a collection of these bottles as well. I love the soft green/blue colors.
Oh you should use them to house little snippets of flowers. I purchase the mini roses when I find them on sale or clearance, a few tiny roses look so beautiful in these bottles, do give it a try I think you will love it.
Thanks for sharing.
