The good the bad and the ugly….. well maybe not ugly but some good and bad news to share.
About a year ago I moved into my space at an antique mall.
I was not planning on doing it.But I felt like the right opportunity came around and so I jumped in.
I really enjoyed hunting for pieces painting them and watching them find new homes.
Looking for unique treasures was fun too!
But when I did my yearly taxes I was stunned to see what was really profit and what was not.
I decided to step away and search my soul for what l lies ahead.
Today was moving day and I am fully moved out of my space.
So thankful to have had the opportunity.
Because while I was there I met some wonderful, amazing and talented people whom many I now call friend.
It’s not the end I cannot give up what I enjoy most and that is creating.
For now it is just a break enjoying summer with my family.
I am hoping to work on some things in the fall and possibly open an online shop.
It will give me the flexibility to still be creative but work from home and on my schedule too.
Now for some exciting news to share.
I am now a contributor to Live Creatively Inspired

I’m so sorry to hear that your booth business didn’t work out. I have spoken to girls that work booths in an antique mall near me and they’ve told me that they don’t really profit much. They do good to break even with the cost of items they buy to put in the booth and then the money they pay to rent the booth each month. They tell me they do it more for fun than they do to make money. Maybe your online shop will prove to be more profitable. The only down side with that is that you have to ship things. I guess everything has its pros and cons.

I have always thought it would be fun to have a booth but wondered about the profitibility. In this economy things are selling so cheap it seems!

I have never had a booth or shop, but I have heard that most don’t make much money doing that. It’s more of a hobby really. Any way, I hope you find just the right venture for you.

Anne, We are so thrilled to have you on board over at Live Creatively Inspired. Our site will be so much more with your contributions. I have also learned how difficult it is to be a booth vendor. For various reasons….I’ve found that it just isn’t my cup of tea either….Thanks for sharing this…I don’t feel so bad now! ~Tammy
