Whenever I am out thrift shopping I always make sure to check out the linens especially the bedding.
I have been surprised on many occasions to find vintage linens or just pretty fabrics.
Very recently I found a beautiful bedding set that I thought would look perfect in my daughters room.
The set was in new condition and came as a comforter with a bed skirt and two pillow shams for 7.00.
On one side the fabric has large pink roses and stripes. But I fell in love with the inner side with the petite pink roses and soft teal color.
I actually like the pillow shams shown the opposite way too with the ties showing.
It has a prairie look to it.Soft and feminine perfect for my daughters room.
I knew when she was this she would love it and I was right!
As you can see things are pretty much the same in her room since I revealed it HERE
She loves pink and all things girly just like me.
Oh yes the perfect spot for Tabby. This is her favorite spot to nap.
I think she is happy with the new bedding too!
She jumped on her bed as I was taking these photos.
Well this photo will be a good memory for my daughter.
They are best buddies <3
One thing to remember about bedding. If you happen to find a pretty quilt or bedspread you don’t have to limit this for a bed only.
They make lovely table coverings too!
I have some that I have used just for that reason.
I must confess, I have never ;looked at linens when thrifting. I guess I have been missing out on some great deals.
Note to self… must check linens. Thanks Anne 🙂
Your new find is indeed very pretty and girly. perfect in her room.
Hugs, Gee
I love the bedding. I always check the linens area right away when I thrift and have found some wonderful pieces- xo Diana
WOW!
What an amazing frugal find- so lovely!
Love the linens Anne, they definitely have a prairie feel to them! And how sweet that your kitty made herself all cozy. They like pretty things too! 🙂
Hope you have a lovely night.
Sincerely,
Melinda
That is a pretty one. Is it Rachel Ashwell? Looks perfect in your daughters room. Sweet kitty 🙂
I like the dainty flower pattern on the bedding. It looks like well worn vintage sheets. And obviously your cat agrees. meow

Why is it kitties love to climb on a well made bed!
So sweet!

I never go to thrift shops and I don’t know why. There are quite a few in town. I guess I need to add that to my list of new things to do.
The bedding is wonderful and perfect in your daughter’s room.
lovely shabby chic goodness! xo
Very pretty…perfect for the room!
So soft and pretty…great find!

So feminine and pretty!
I do the same thing, Anne! I always check the linens at the thrift store, but I think $7.00 for this set takes the cake for best deal ever! I like the shams with the ties showing, too. Lovely set!
Jeanette
I love the new bedding and so does the cat, apparently!
Anne, such a pretty find! I do the same thing in my guest bedroom with the duvet – one side is blue with big flowers, but the flipside has a pretty petite bouquet with a creamy white background that I love so I show that side. $7.00 well spent!
Hi Anne,
I made a lampshade for my daughters room out of scraps of muslin and would love to create one like or similar to yours, you have inspired me to go look to see what shade I want to start with. I fond a great thrift lamp that I made over but, it needs that great shade to add to its brocante flea market style.
Thank you my dear for taking the time to share some LOVE over at my place 🙂
See you soon and all the beauty you share.
Oh, I’ve told you this before but, will tell you again, love, love, love your daughters room pictured 🙂
Bisous

Hi! Your room is beautiful! I was wondering if you had instructions for the lamp with the pink fringe? Thanks
