Welcome to my Christmas home tour part 1 !
I decided to share it in two parts because although I decorated simply,I have lots to share.
Are you ready?
Well grab a cup coffee, tea or hot coco and lets begin!
First I want to tell you that I am so glad you could join me,and I am thrilled to be a part of Jennifer Rizzo’s party!
Let’s start out in my living room.
Just like last year I am keeping my decor simple.
I don’t like little knick knacks all over my house especially at Christmas time.
So I carefully choose what I want out.
I needed a new tree this year and I was lucky to find this one at a thrift store.
I love a tree at night!
The lights glow and it looks so magical.
I tried making a tree skirt this year but it was a disaster!
After thinking about what I could use for a tree skirt I had a Ah-ha moment!
Since like to use what I have, I decided to use my sheepskin rug under my tree as a skirt.
It fits perfectly and looks like a blanket of snow.
My silver coffee server looks great by my front door and I just added some fresh greens.
You will see that I used allot fresh greens in my home.
They do make beautiful faux greens but I love the scent of fresh since we don’t use real trees.
On my cabinet I added my paperwhites ,just using pieces from my ironstone and milk glass collection.
This sweet vintage Santa was found many years ago.
He is very fragile but I still love that sweet face.
I was hoping to find a pink one this year but they are a little out of my price range.
Maybe someday I will find one!
As you can see I just added some fresh greens and a few ornaments.
I love using those candy canes for a splash of color too,and we enjoy eating them too!
I keep my greens fresh by putting them in water with floral foam.
It keeps the branches moist and also is much easier to arrange.
Then there are some branches I just leave out.
But I mist them to keep them from drying out too fast.
Sometimes simplicity is all you need.
Let’s move into the dining room.
My paperwhites are the centerpiece of my table.
I love the green with touches of white.
And of course a splash of pink with my roses and ladder.
I decided to add some of my dried hydrangeas with these greens.
The color and texture are a perfect pair!
Some ornaments found recently are pretty displayed in this bowl.
One of my favorite pitchers, the crazing is perfection to me!
I love the color of these roses with the soft pink ladder.
Last year I made these ornaments.
The are silver ornaments I found at a thrift shop.
I decopauged torn pieces from music sheets and books, then added a little glitter.
Just sharing the photo of these on the ladder, but not keeping them here.
A certain cat would have a field day with these if they fell to the ground!
Let’s go into the kitchen.
My kitchen is adorned with a tree once again.
This tree is so pretty at night,it just sparkles with light,
I added a rosemary tree that I bought at Trader Joe’s.
Last year it did not do well after Christmas,I will see if I have any luck this year.
It smells amazing and I love how it looks too!
Every year my daughter likes to decorate a gingerbread house.
We buy ours pre-assembled.
We found our kit at Hobby Lobby.
It came with frosting and candy to decorate.
This makes a great prop for my photos as you can see this was the before photo.
I added a few candy canes inside my cabinet,I love the pop of color against the white.
I hope you enjoyed part 1 of this tour.

Anne, your home is lovely! Each room has just the right amount of Christmas decor! Thank you for the tip on using live greenery. Mine has always dried out way too fast; the gas heat turns it crispy. Love the tree in your kitchen. Your night time shoot of your tree is truly magical! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us! Merry Christmas!
Your home is so lovely. I natural greenery, wish I had more of it. What a treat it must be to have a tree in your kitchen. Thanks so much for the tour.

If you ever decide to get rid of any of the beautiful dishes in your china cabinet let me know….I have one plate that I absolutely adore and would love to have more! You wouldn’t happen to know the name of the pattern would you?
Holiday Beautiful!!

Love the idea of decoupaging onto the ornaments. I have some plain white ones that I was just going to put in a silver bowl but now……
Love just the little touches of red! The paper whites in white pitchers look stunning! I have to pin that!
Anne what a Lovely, elegant but simple Christmas Decorating Tour, enjoyed the part one, very nicely done. You have a gift of putting things together in a Beautiful way. I also have some milk glass, one piece is a very unusual shape, I should send you a picture and maybe you could help me identify what it is. Looking forward to the part two tour. Great job!!!
