I am thrilled to be a part of The Scoops Valentine home tour.
I guess you could say I have a romantic side,I am sure you can see it in my home decor.
And with my blog name white lace cottage it is hard to dismiss.
I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite romantic things.
This post is all about eye candy.
A pretty prom dress was a recent find at a thrift shop.
I have not been able to leave my home much because of the brutal cold weather and snow!
But while out on a shopping trip to my market,I ran into one of my favorite thrift shops.
It’s in amazing condition and I knew I would have fun displaying it and using it for props in my photos.
Yes you will be seeing this prom dress quite a bit I am sure!
Roses are another of my favorite things,as if you did not already know.
And pink roses are by far my very favorite.
I used a vintage faded rose coverlet for a table cloth.
I found the coverlet many, many years ago.
It’s been faded over time, and is worn and that makes it so special to me.
A stack of lace napkins add a touch of romance, love that soft touch of lace trim.
A small selection of vintage dishes from my collection all are adorned with petite pink roses.
I have to admit I only use these for special occasions.
These were found many years ago, recently I shared that I downsized some of my vintage dish collection.
These are some I truly treasure.
I have been adding touches of pink in my home.
I love finding pieces that are truly vintage, with that lovely chippy patina I love.
This small stool adds a little height to my table ,and the chippy patina and the soft pink color is perfection to me.
Oh and you know how I love a little bling, that silver champagne bucket adds a touch of sparkle.
Inscribed “To Our Days Of Wine And Roses”.
Found a few years ago while out treasure hunting.
It makes a perfect vase.
Off in my corner I have my garden cherub statue adorned with a petite crown.
I placed it on this pink step ladder.
The window is propped up on an old milking stool.
It’s a bit small and it needed to be a little taller for this corner.
I love scented candles, but I also enjoy a table scape with tall white candles burning.
I think it is so pretty when the wax drips a bit too!
Yes I know it can be messy, but it’s pretty.
I decided to add my dried heart wreaths to my chippy garden gate.
This gate was found last summer.
I layered the gate with a chippy window frame and hung my wreaths using lace and thumbtacks.
These wreaths are very simple to make.
For a little tutorial you can go HERE.
I love the faded colors and the texture of dried roses.
These can be left out past valentines day.
