After adding my vintage pink scale to my kitchen island I decided that I needed to find a new spot for my French bottle rack.
As much as I was enjoying my corner cabinet in my kitchen I decided to move it back into the dining room and put my chippy door and pink table back into this room.
I really love this combination of the chippy door,my chippy pink table and the French bottle rack.
They all seem to work perfectly together.
I also added these dried flowers to my French bottle rack.
I dry my roses in water and as they are about to wilt I pull them out and hang them upside down.
This pink color looks pretty next to the black color of the French bottle rack.
I am keeping that old chippy green ladder in here it’s just the right piece for this spot.
All the colors work great with my no sew curtains I made using a vintage sheet.
Today I was working on my kitchen island again, I know I can’t leave well enough alone.
The fact that this does not seem very durable has me a little concerned.
The lighting is not really great today so I will share it tomorrow.
I decided to distress the beadboard wall paper on my kitchen island.
I think this will work out until I have time to take this off, or until I get tired of that look and change it again.
That paper is not that practical in my opinion for a kitchen island.
And maybe it’s the fact that I am …..well too picky.
I don’t want to worry about someone scratching it every time they are sitting at the island.
It’s funny I don’t like anything perfect,I embrace the imperfect.
But little things like this ripping will drive me crazy,I don’t know why.

Hi Anne,
Love the old door back in. You know me and doors! Everything looks so pretty and bright in your kitchen. Hope you had a great Easter. We will have to get together soon.
Kris
Thank you Kris! Yes I hope we can get together soon.
I love that chippy corner you’ve created, Anne! It somehow “grounds” the room – and what room doesn’t look great with a bit of chippy loveliness in it? 🙂
