Vintage Farmhouse Tables

April 27, 2014

You all know my obsession with vintage scales and I am sure you also know how much I love finding vintage farmhouse tables.

I spotted this one while I was out treasure hunting but it was really nothing special.

They attached a note to the price tag  that said this was made using reclaimed pieces of wood from an old house.

It really was a  hodgepodge of different scrap  pieces of wood that really did not go together at all.

But still I was attracted to this old table.

I decided to bring it home and paint it using Vintage Market and Designs paint Blue Heron.

I am normally not a big blue fan but this is the prettiest shabbiest blue color.

Love all the details showing through.

And I am sure I could make this work in my house.

But it will not be staying here.

I know,I know your right I will probably regret selling it.

But I can’t keep everything.

I asked my friend Janet from Lucky Junk if I could put it in her shop to sell and she kindly said yes.

I am not ready to ship furniture pieces out just yet,but I may be adding pieces to my shop in the future.

pitcher of pink roses

First I need to figure out how to ship pieces out and the cost.

And since Since I am not keeping this I just shot these photos of this table in my dining room.

These roses are the perfect shade of pink next to this pretty blue.

Vintage Market and Designs  paint is becoming one of my favorites to use.

And I really love the color selection!

This is not one of my favorite shots with my outlet and return vent.

And I don’t know how to edit those out of the photo, but I do know that they have software for that.

But I wanted to share a full view photo of this table.

See that little opening on the table, not sure what that is but it’s on both sides.

I actually like it as it gives it added character.

Okay …I keep telling myself that I  must resist keeping this!

After taking this photo I decided to add it to my family room, big mistake!

I am planning on bringing this on Tuesday (planning is the key word) as I will be teaching another workshop.

We still have two spots available if you are local we would love to have you join.

And a 2.0 workshop is coming soon!

Oh I love that color blue you found for that table! It really is pretty. So did you decide to keep it or are you selling it? I wasn’t sure from your post.

ABOUT THIS BLOG

ABOUT THIS BLOG

Hi I'm Anne.
I started this blog many years ago to share my passion for home decor. My tastes have changed and so did I.
We recently moved to Florida and we are starting a new chapter. My main focus on this blog has shifted. With that I'll be sharing more than home decor.
You'll see makeup tips, skincare, fashion and a little bit of decor as well. You can check out my Youtube channel as well and follow me along. I'll leave all of my older posts up as a reference. But you'll see lots of changes.
