I am trying to think of where to begin with this post.
Have you ever had a day that starts out bad and progressively gets worse?
That is the day I had today,I will spare you all the details.
Yesterday I shared my French Sink,I loved how it looked and it seemed to be very sturdy on that heavy door.
Did you notice I said looked great, well we had a windy day here.
While I was in the house cleaning I heard a huge crash sound.
That door came crashing down with the planter, dirt everywhere.
But that’s not the worst part, the worst part is that it made a hole in the screen on our new screened porch.
I am just sick over it.
Its a small hole, but the fact that it’s a new room just has me sick.
So on Mother’s day when I should be relaxing I will be taking a trip to the company who installed this to get a piece of screen so we can fix this, nice huh…and just my luck.

Before all of that happened today I did get a few things done in my daughters bathroom.
Not ready to reveal just yet,I still have some finishing touches.
But it’s looking really pretty.
And my daughter is thrilled!
I am framing out the mirror in her bathroom and also finally getting to doing mine.
I ran to Home Depot today to pick out the trim pieces for my mirror.
Let me just say that Dan is the man!
Yes Dan was the Home Depot associate that helped cut the pieces for me.
He even marked each piece with the measurement I gave so it was easier for me to know which sizes went with each mirror.
Love getting great customer service,I will make sure to send a letter to the store pointing that out!
I think this will be the last big project for awhile.
Summer break is almost here,I will concentrate on smaller projects and some gardening too!

Our Home Depot looked at us like we had four heads when we asked them to cut pieces for us. I read all the time where folks get that done, but seems like not at ours or they are probably just lazy.
Sorry about the mishap.

Really? That’s too bad Kim.The Home Depot near us is very helpful.

Anne, I know how you must feel about the accident on your porch. This year I’m trying to keep things in perspective, realizing that most of my mishaps “are not the end of the world.” For what it’s worth, it’s been a good motto for me. ๐

Oh I’m sorry to hear that you’ve already gotten a hole in the screen! At least it can be fixed. I was worried that you were going to say your new French sink broke. I think we’ve all had some disaster like that happen to us from time to time and it always “sucks”!!! That’s life though, (so I’m told). We shop at Home Depot a lot too. Glad to know you got good customer service. It’s hit or miss there sometimes.

So sorry about your screen. I dented my new truck when it was less than 24 hours old so I know how you feel.
Enjoy these last days/weeks of the school year.

Anne I know exactly how you must have felt. When things are brand new and something happens like this it almost makes you feel as if it is ruined and damaged now. At least no one was hurt and it can be repaired.

Anne, what a shame about your screen. I know how much you were enjoying the new room, but you will get it back good as new. I peeked and already found out how pretty the bathroom turned out..Happy Monday..Judy
Anne says

Sure sorry to hear about your screen but it can be fixed, that’s important part right? I know it’s disheartening but life throws us slammers and we have to do best we can. So glad it wasn’t your french sink, that would have been awful too. Happy week
Anne says
