My kitchen now has a new view thanks to this vintage window found while treasure hunting.
Have you have had something stuck in your head, and no matter what you can’t stop thinking about it.
Not long ago I was browsing through pinterest and I came across a gorgeous vintage chippy pink window.
I fell in love the moment I saw it,but as soon as I went to purchase it the owner of the window had told me it just sold…..boo for me.
I mentioned this to one of my favorite dealers and she said she would be on the lookout for one.
Well yesterday she sent me a text telling me that she found one.
I drove on over today to see it and and as soon as I did I knew it would work.
The price was much, much less than the original one that I saw and a little bigger which is probably better for this space too.
I thought it would have looked perfect hanging the opposite way then shown here in the opening of my kitchen wall that opens up to my family room.
When I originally thought about a window here I thought the pink chippy side would be better on the opposite site with the shutters.
But this pink is a little more of a peach color and the shutters have more of a blue pink so they totally clashed.
I decided to hang it the opposite way of how I was going too with the pink showing towards the kitchen and the white chippy paint facing the family room.
Love the patina and the color on this old window and now gives another pop of pink in my kitchen.
This would be pretty even without my ladder and I was thinking of taking it down, but if I did I could not hang that old farmers scale.
It hangs perfectly from the ladder.
We use that scale for our apples,it seems we all eat more apples since adding this.
I guess because they are a little easier to get too,and they look pretty when we are not eating them.
Here is the lovely patina from the other side.
Love that crackled chippy paint.

Last night was my daughter’s eighth grade graduation ceremony.
She graduated with high honors with which I am very proud!
We snapped a few photos before all the bleachers started to fill up.
Still can’t believe my daughter is now a High School freshman….and when did she get to be taller than I am….can you tell I am wearing heals and she is in flip flops.
Wearing them we are the same height without them she is taller than I am!

Congratulations to your daughter! So glad you left the ladder there because I love that scale with the apples in it. The new window is gorgeous. I’ve always wanted one for my kitchen but haven’t found the perfect one yet.
