Doing something a little different today, a video blog post.
Sorry about the lighting I need to work on that.
No editing here at all, notice I forgot to take my readers off the top of my head….oh well.
By the way…..great shot of the freeze frame….
Okay here we go are you ready?
This took a little longer than I thought it would.
I hope it gets easier because I would like to do this more often.
Not every week but I would like to share tutorial videos and answer questions on this platform.
Do I really have an accent?Everyone tells me I have a Midwestern accent.

No questions, but, you did a fabulous job, Anne. Oh yes, we’ve talked about the misconception about how bloggers keep their houses perfect. I’m staring at a hot mess right now. LOL
Anne says
Thanks Rosemary!Yep if I panned the camera over to my kitchen you would have seen dishes in the sink, and a messy desk.
Kim says
Oh, aren’t you cute. I get asked how I do it all, too. It’s so funny. I want to tell them that just because I shared a two projects in one week doesn’t mean I just did them. Some things I share were done weeks ago even months. My house certainly doesn’t look like it does in pics all the time. Surely our readers realize we aren’t perfect.
Anne says
Thank you Kim!NO big projects around here for awhile, time to enjoy summer break soon ๐
Gail says
What a great video Anne! If someone was to walk into my house right now they would have to step over all the dogs toys that are everywhere…LOL! Enjoy your evening, Gail
Anne says
Thanks Gail! Ha it’s so true isn’t it,no one has a perfect home especially bloggers.

I loved this video! I think you are so sweet and nice! I wish you lived next door to me because I would love to get together with you! You are truly a genuine person. Where do you buy your jewelry I have noticed at different times a necklace or some other piece that you have worn. I love your house and blog and am looking forward to more videos because I don’t always have time to read everything and this is nice! Thank you!
Anne says
I wish we lived close too Melanie we have allot in common.Thank you so much for your sweet comments.

Hello Anne,
Enjoyed your first video…what an awesome idea. Hey…I think all of us are in the same boat when it comes to perfect homes…you should see the mess I have in mine tonight. After I help do some decorating at our church tomorrow, I’m going to tackle my cottage, wish me luck.
Blessings,
Linda

Enjoyed your video. You did a great job and I am sure it will get easier as you do it more often. I used to keep my house perfect–clean, straight, kids bathed, fed, everything in order. Then, one day I said, I have more important things I want to do with my life. Who cares if the bed isn’t perfect, if everything doesn’t get put away, etc. My boys have their own lives now. I am working part time in an antique mall (after having my own antique shop and tea house), have several booths in three malls, am painting furniture for others and for sale, helping with grandsons, playing cards, lunching with the girls, taking care of my husband and enjoying all of it. My house can wait. Life is too short. Didn’t mean to get on my soapbox, but just want you young folks to realize that there is more to life than worrying about the dirty dishes, dirty floors and dust. Just clean enough to be healthy.
Anne says
Yep I agree Joan,I keep a tidy house but I don’t go overboard.Life is too short you have to get out and enjoy it too ๐
Jeanette @ Creating a Life says

Anne….Aren’t you cute?! I have some video in the works but I am so camera shy. ๐ I hate writing tutorials but talking while doing would be much more informative but I need a camera man.
Anne says
Thank you Holly, just go for it.I was shy as a child but have long outgrown that can ya tell LOL!

Loved your video, Anne. Like you, I am picky and love for my house to be all neat and tidy but I want people to feel comfortable and at home ~ I don’t mind if things get messy. Thanks for the info on the paint, I’ll have to check it out ~ paint has gotten to be really expensive! Keep the videos coming!
Anne says
Thank you JoAnne more coming soon ๐

Hi Anne, loved your personal post today. It was nice to get to know you in a different way. Yes, I do think you have a accent. Love it! Could you take the time to check out my new blog Anne’s Attic – Design. http://wp.me/4gnLC . Let me know what you think and what I need to work on. A new camera would help but that will come in time.
Have a LOVERLY evening.
