Sharing this week’s,what’s new in the shop.
This week I am adding more linens to the shop.
I am always hunting for linens and even if they are not vintage but have that vintage look I swoop them up.
I love Rachel Ashwell’s linens.
And even though they are not vintage they have that vintage look.
This duvet cover is neither vintage or Rachel Ashwell,it’s a retired duvet cover from Pottery Barn.
But I love the soft pink roses on one side and pink and white check on the other side.
Here is a little tip….or trick.
I don’t have a feather filled duvet, but I do have comforters so I use a comforter the size of the duvet cover.
I simply put the comforter inside the duvet cover,so don’t pass up those duvet covers when you find them.
Even without a duvet you can still use these.
I was using this duvet cover on my daughters bed and inside of this duvet cover was a yellow color comforter, but you could not see it through this fabric even though it has a white background.
These duvet covers are great just to add on top of bedspread, giving it a layered look.
This one would work great on a white spread, just make sure your bed is bigger than the duvet cover.
This is a full size duvet cover so it would work on a King size bed,if you are going for a layered look and not full coverage.
I recently came across this duvet cover.
Again it’s not vintage but has that vintage look to it.
It’s actually a retired Eddie Bauer home duvet cover,King Size.
I love how the colors are so soft and muted on one side and darker on the other side.
Having a double sided duvet cover makes it easy to change things and give your room a totally different look.
This reminds me of fabrics I have seen from the 1940’s.
This next treasure was a recent find this past summer, and I used it in my sale.
See it hanging on the wall?
This is a quilt top that could be made usable blanket quilt or used as a tablecloth, and yes even hung on a wall as I used it for in my sale.
I love the mixture of colors of this beautiful quilt, remnants of vintage fabrics were used to make this quilt top.
It’s absolutely gorgeous!
And it’s in amazing condition too!
A few months ago I found a set of dishes.
I am really particular about the dishes I buy, because……. I have so many.
I love the delicate pink roses, and delicate faded leaves.
When I bought these I made sure to keep a stack for myself.
Yes I am all about mixing and matching dishes.
These are used for our Sunday breakfasts in our home.
I usually always love hunting for pieces that are decorative but also serve as a purpose.
But sometimes I am drawn to pieces for there beauty.
Like this sweet Infant Prague statue.
It looks like something right out of Jeanne d’arc living magazine.
I love the color and of course the chippy patina.
This piece is dated 1941 and is quite heavy!
Recently I shared a few photos of my daughter modeling this vintage prom dress.
You can view that post HERE.
I love finding these vintage prom dresses, they are so pretty to display, especially in a shabby chic home!
Draped over a chair,or a table or simply hung…they are so beautiful!
And add a little touch of romance.
