Excited to share some new lovely shabby treasures that I just listed in the shop.
I know I have shared this before, but I will share it again.
When I hunt for treasures, I only buy pieces that speak to me.
Treasures that I would use in my own home like this lovely vintage sheet.
Yes, that is a vintage sheet, but it works perfectly as a tablecloth don’t you think?
Love the soft blue and turquoise colors on this one.
And it really matches my newly painted table too!
Many times I come across pieces that are pretty, but if I can’t imagine adding them into my home then I won’t purchase them.
The great part about selling vintage items is if they don’t sell, I can enjoy them in my own home.
So you can understand why it’s so important to only sell pieces that really speak to me and treasures that I would truly treasure.
I love decorative pieces but often pass them up.
If they are only decorative but pieces that cannot be used in any other way then they won’t work in my home.
I don’t like clutter, so I only look for pieces that can be used in more than one way.
These goblets make a beautiful vase or a candle votive.
This lovely Italian Florentine tissue box can also be repurposed as a vase.
Just add a flat liner and use it for flowers, or on a desk to organize or add napkins and use it in a kitchen.
Isn’t this sheet amazing!
I love the soft faded flowers and it looks beautiful as a table cloth.
And would look lovely draped on a chair.
On my sofa in my family room I am using a Shabby Chic shower curtain to cover my cushions.
Bed pillows work perfectly on a chair or sofa too.
In Shabby Chic style they are not just for beds.

I’ve been thinking of how to cover my very faded antique sofa,..not to perfection
But also so it doesn’t look like I went to a yard sale! Last night I began with a heavy cream colored sheet which when tucked properly looks amazingly great. I found extra material for the arms, but that seems to be a big challenge, I don’t want to use glue & thought of stitching where the arms meet the back…but have found myself .thinking” any ideas how
To keep the fabric in place as well as any ideas that make sense with the arm covers? The sofa will be Cati corner, but the back looks great,as is,.I’m doing a lot of refurbishing, but need to focus on one thing at a time!!! Lookin for Kelly green to paint wrought iron & the list goes on…if you can give me any sofa ideas. It will make sense &DO IT! ARTIST WITH NO PRACTICAL EEXPERIENC)
With big ideas 🙂 Leslie

It sounds like you did a beautiful job covering it. In my family room I used a Shabby Chic fabric shower curtain for my seat cushions, and on each end of my sofa I tucked a ruffled throw. The throws get messed up a bit when someone sits on the sofa, but it’s not a big deal to me at all.Maybe adding a pretty ruffled throw on each end of your sofa? I found mine on Shabbyfufu.com
