I am sure you know that my favorite style is Shabby Chic, but did you know that I also love French style?
I wouldn’t say my home is exactly Rachel Ashwell, although I am inspired by Rachel’s style.
But, did you know that I also love French accents in my home.
Once of my favorite pieces is this French bottle rack.
It’s not the real deal, but a replica of a French bottle rack.
Yes it’s mixed in with my Shabby Chic style, but shows that I have a little French flare.
Yes you can mix French style in with Shabby Chic.
I love this table that I created a few years ago.
My inspiration came from the French feedsacks.
I didn’t keep this piece, it was sold at a sale.
I am kicking myself now, as I should have kept it.
I guess I should try to re-create one.
Oh, and I love French chairs, the curves, the details…sigh.
So when I heard that my friend Anita from Cedar Hill Farmhouse writing a book on French style, I knew it was going to be amazing!
And I was right!
I am going to share a little secret, I love reading decorating books before I go to bed.
I guess that’s the time I get inspired the most.
And it’s the only time I have to read books.
During the day I am way too busy.
When I received my book I couldn’t wait to get all comfy for bed, and read French Accents.
Of course I didn’t read it all in a night, you can’t because there’s lots to read, along with beautiful photos.
I am lucky and have been able to get a sneak peek 🙂
Anita’s book French Accents is not just fluff.
Yes it’s filled with gorgeous photos , but Anita shares many tips on adding French Accents in your own home.
And she shares how anyone can do it on any budget!
This is one of those books that I will be reading over and over again.
Seriously, I can’t put it down!
I have been reading it from cover to cover.
I am joining my blogging buddies to help promote Anita’s gorgeous new book.
Guess what?
It’s now available for purchase 🙂

Shabby and French go together naturally… I have seen many photos of French countrysides and café s to see that the distressed old vintage look is everywhere..
Anne says
Yes I agree Janna 🙂
