As you know I love expressing myself through art.
It’s mostly in the pieces of furniture that I paint, or redecorating a room.
But to me, that’s art.
I don’t have lots of art pieces hanging my walls.
Instead most of my art is old salvage that to me is art.
I no longer have those large wings, but I still have this old gate.
I love the chippy patina and the style of this old gate, it’s very unique.
To me, this is art.
I found this beautiful painting at a thrift store several years ago.
I didn’t care for the frame, so I painted it.
I have this lovely piece hanging in my kitchen.
This is one of my cherished pieces.
My art in my home is an expression of who I am and what I love.
Each piece is different and unique, and makes me smile.
Do you enjoy art in your home?
What makes you smile?
Let me introduce you to Cynthia.
Cynthia and her husband Kent run their custom interiors business Cynthia Weber Design from BannockBurn 1878,
their historic stone home in Ontario Canada.
In addition to providing design services for residential, cottage and commercial clients she also shares snapshots of
both client projects and their personal journey restoring their home and expanding the gardens on their blog.
Both the blog and information about working with Cynthia in a design capacity can be found on the main website
Cynthia has donated from her private collection a beautiful original painting titled Bridge Near the Bodiam Castle by
renown artist Peter Etril Snyder!
Valued at $700.00 CAD the 9” x 13” piece will be shipped to the lucky winner unframed.
Here are the artists notes on this beautiful piece: “Over four months in Kent in 1998 made me very conscious of all
the red brick building in the southeast area of England.
This small bridge is a Victorian structure located near Bodiam Castle.
It presents a new and colourful contrast to the soft gray/beige of the ancient stone castle.
Here in North America it is difficult to think of a building that has survived for one hundred and fifty years as new,
but in a land that displays items from Roman times, this bridge is gleamingly new.”

Anne, you are an artist, what you do is so artistic believe me not everybody can do it, it takes talent and an artist eye for detail.
I wish I could enter the contest for that beautiful painting, but I don’t have a clue how to download apps, I thought that you did that with a smart phone. I really am tech challenged. LOL
