Decorating Ideas For Your Home Under $50
I’ve shared many decorating ideas over the years. Most of my home decor has come from resale shops, cause that’s how I roll. Although I do find good deals at discount stores like HomeGoods, and Marshalls. I’ve gotten many comments from readers over the past few years saying that they wish they had a thrift shop near there home so they can find the deals I’ve gotten. So I thought it would be fun to share some cheap home decor that’s under $50 dollars.

Decorating idea tip #1
I’ve shared this tip before, but I’ll share it again. Whenever I look for decorating ideas, pieces that I want to add to my home, I try to make sure to add pieces that can be decorative and useful as much as I can. I feel that when I do this I’m getting more bang for my buck.
I love finding ironstone pitcher’s. For those of you that would like that look in your home, but can’t find them locally or they’re too expensive for the real thing, here is a beautiful one. It’s not ironstone, but it the look and it’s super cheap. Besides using this for flowers this can be used to store your kitchen utensils. This pitcher also works great as holiday decor as well. I usually add fresh greens in mine for Christmas and winter. During the fall I’ll add twigs. I have many of these in my home and I use them all of the time! I have smaller pitchers that hold pens, paint brushes and other craft supplies. Great price at 15.99!
Decorating idea tip #2
Look for unique pieces when your decorating your home. We all need a clock in our house, so why not add one that has style like this one. Isn’t this one cool! I’ve found many clocks at thrift shops, but never one this cool. I love that it has a function and yet it’s decorative. A great price at $24.00!
Decorating tip #3
Look for tables that can be used in more than one room or multipurpose. I move things around my home a lot. A table like this would be perfect in a bedroom as side tables, especially since it has two handy little drawers. These tables would also work as end tables next to a sofa, or just used when entertaining to place dips and snacks. I also think this table would be great in a bathroom, used for extra towels or supplies. And for $42.68 it’s a deal!
Decorating tip #4
If you’re looking for a way to dress up a sofa and chair I’ve got the pillow for you. This is actually for the cover only. But the pillow forms can be easily found at a craft store, and they’re pretty cheap. I like changing my pillows out, so I don’t like spending a ton of money. These pillow covers are $2.30! Can you imagine how many pillows you can add to a sofa at this price?
Decorating tip #5
Okay you’re probably thinking what’s with the towels. Well, I think towels are a great accessory! They are used in my decor for sure, I always have one hanging from my dishwasher. And I will place these on a counter when we’re entertaining if I’m doing a big spread on my kitchen island. I have special towels that I used in bread baskets for entertaining. I love these grain stripe towels. And the price is perfect at $13.95 for 12! That comes to 1.16 each which is close to what I pay for towels at a thrift shop. But I’ve never gotten lucky finding any like this.
Decorating idea tip #6
I have a disclaimer, I’m not into hanging a dead animal on my wall, just a personal choice. But I don’t mind hanging a faux replica of a head. I have a faux cow head over my mantle. I love this deer coat rack. It has style, it’s whimsical and it’s useful! Remember one of my tips is using pieces that are decorative and useful. I think this would be great in a bathroom used to hang towels. And it’s only $29.00!

Bathroom toilet paper holders don’t have to be ugly, And I agree! Most toilet paper holders are just builder grade. I love this cute farmhouse style toilet paper holder. Perfect for any bathroom, especially a guest bathroom. A great price at $15.00

I love decorating with boxwood wreaths. They are perfect throughout the year. I really don’t think you need a special season to use these. They add a touch of color and I love that it’s like bringing the outdoors in. Especially during the colder seasons here when everything outside is….dead. This is a faux boxwood wreath- $19.00

Adding art to your home is a great way to make your house a home. I’m always looking for new pieces of art and I came across this one. This is a reproduction of artist Heather Sims. She offers several prices with the option of matting. Prices range from $7-$30 depending on size and matting which is a steal for beautiful art!
Hope these decorating ideas and tips help you with your home decor. I just wanted to share that even though you may not live near a thrift store, or find cool garage sales you can look on line to find unique pieces that will fit in with your decor. I’m always looking for new decorating ideas myself as I’m making a few changes around my home. Please let me know in the comments what specific styles or rooms you’d like me to share decorating ideas for.

Why can’t I just be sorta rich ?lol Give me one of everything. Especially love pitcher, price is sure right. Will have to wait til next week for our payday, another month of 5 weeks between, such fun and what a challenge. Great tips/ideas Anne, very helpful having so many great items pointed out in one post and sources. Also love adorable cow painting.
You always keep so busy, glad you had time to spend with your daughter, very special and important. Our youngest grand child has started her junior year last week already. Hate this new schedule schools have, cheat us out of one whole month of summer, phooey.
When both girls were younger I would get off work at 12:30, go get them and head straight to state park lake almost every day. We had a 2 man raft I would flip over and we’d all float around, had so many good times. Then on Fridays after work hubs and girls parents would bring supper and we’d eat then swim, have great time. Lake is only 7 1/2 miles from our house, we live about 6 miles west of them.
Have great weekend

I have those pillow covers already, now you all know how frugal I can be, but they have held up well and are well made and I have had them for quite some time. Love all your picks.
