French Farmhouse Style Office Ideas
French farmhouse style incorporates curvy furniture giving it a feminine touch. Along with soft greys along with taupe and white. I wanted to create a inspiration board to give you a few ideas of how you can create this look when designing an office space. (This post contains affiliate links please see disclosure policy.)
Tips On Adding French Farmhouse Style
- Look for a desk that has curvy features. Depending on what you’ll be using the desk for and the size of your room will determine how big of a desk that you’ll need. White or grey would be a beautiful color for your desk. Keep it in a lighter shade of grey if you choose that color.

- A French style chair is a must. This one is upholstered in French grain sack material. The curvy style and shape works perfectly with this desk.

- Lighting is important for an office space. I just added a desk lamp. But if possible I would add a chandelier. Chandeliers don’t necessarily need to be crystal for a French farmhouse office but they can be.

- This clock is not only functional for an office but it’s decorative as well. This works perfectly with French farmhouse style.

- Storage is necessary in an office space. I thought that these would work perfectly in a French farmhouse style office. They are decorative and functional. The green tote gives a splash of color and can be used to hold pens or whatever is needed for your office space. The hanging wire rack is great for paperwork.

Of course you can look for similar pieces at a thrift store or garage sale. I just wanted to share how easy it is to pull together a French Farmhouse inspired office. The key is looking for pieces that compliment each other is shape and in style. Do you have a home office? What do you think about French Farmhouse style?

Can remember when I first discovered blogs the trend was on everything “French” now it’s on “farmhouse” Have to admit can’t really tell difference between mild country and farmhouse and other “styles” from farmhouse. Not knocking farmhouse, just can’t tell difference from some other styles. My mistake, who knows.
Love galvanized items and that lamp you featured. The desk/chair are very pretty but just not my thing, need something more useful, rather than pretty. Can sure see it in your home as it’s more to that style.
Has always mystified me how people have such different styles. Our daughter for instance likes more formal, bit fancier than I do. Even when she was much younger out on her own, making do with hand me downs. My style has changed but think am more cottage through out years have had own home. Have tried more contemporary but never felt right to me. I like cottage, beachy, depending on time of year. Can certainly admire your style and others, just not in my comfort zone. Just making some observations.
Enjoy Friday and Fall weekend

I love anything reminiscent of ‘French’ style. It’s the overall ‘feel’ of a finished room (or a room in progress) that matters to me. I think the combination of ‘formal’ and more casual/farmhouse pieces work beautifully together and make a much more charming room setting. This way if you see something that you just adore, you don’t have worry if it fits in more with one of the Louie’s or the less formal farmhouse style. Pulling together color, fabric, as well as from periods can result in a beautiful room
