BOTOX FILLERS AND SKINCARE
Hi I’m Anne I’m turing 54 this year and I’ve not had any procedures as in botox or fillers. I use skincare in my morning and evening anti-aging routine. Since I started doing this I’ve literally seen my skin go back in time, for real! I look at pictures from just a few years ago and I’m wowed! I just want to say I have nothing against anyone that wants to get botox or fillers. But I really don’t want to go down that rabbit hole. I worry about what that stuff is going to do to my organs and what will the effects be when I’m older. I also don’t agree with anyone pushing skincare claiming it eliminates lines and wrinkles or adds plumpness as if they’re getting procedures. I find that to be false advertising.
INGREDIENTS AND SKINCARE
When I was in my 20’s until I turned 40 I used anything claiming that it would firm tighten, and take away the signs of aging. But my skin didn’t start aging until I turned 40 so anything I used was preventative or was it? I never looked at the ingredients on skincare until my skin wasn’t responding to any claims a skincare line was making. Now when I look into trying skincare I always look at how it’s going to benefit my skin. But will skincare be as good as getting botox or fillers? My answer is no. They are two different things and it’s why I don’t agree with people making claims on skincare if they’re also getting procedures. Skincare is only going to help your epidermis which is the top layer of skin. And there’s only so much we can do with serums and creams. If we want to see a dramatic change you need to use something that will penetrate to your dermis and to do that you need to get a procedure.
USING BOTH SKINCARE AND PROCEDURES
If you’re using good skincare that’s been proven to help build collagen, brighten, plump the skin and you’ve had procedures the results you’re seeing from your skincare is very slight and only helps with the top layer of skin. I don’t believe that skincare is a miracle but I do think that it can help slow down the appearance of aging skin. I have seen my skin dramatically change since I started using really good skincare with proven to work ingredients. Does it mean that my skin isn’t sagging or that I have no lines? No, because my skin does sag a little and I do have lines they’re not deep lines.
GOOD SKINCARE vs BOTOX FILLERS
Skincare with ingredients that’s been scientifically proven to work is the best skincare you can use. I do feel that it’s helped my skin slow down the aging process and you can see that in the photos I’ve shared. Whenever I share skincare reviews on my channel I always share my experience using those products. I’ve tested a lot of skincare over the past 5 years and I know what works and what doesn’t. I’ve tested a few neck/chin creams claiming to lift sagging skin and none of them worked. I’m testing a new one out now and will share with photos on my channel and my blog so we can see if it did anything. One thing I want you to remember is if you don’t have a lot of lines and wrinkles or sagging using skincare you’ll most likely see results. But if you have lots of deep lines, wrinkles and sagging anything topical will only do so much unless you have a procedure.
