HOW TO APPLY FALSE EYELASHES STEP BY STEP
One of the easiest ways to life the eyes and to make them look bigger is to wear false eyelashes. I’m going to show you how to apply false eyelashes step by step along with one of the biggest mistakes people make. If you want to see a detailed video on how to do this make sure to watch this VIDEO. I’ll be sharing a full demonstration.
PREPARING LASHES
Before you apply your eyelashes you’ll need to trim them first. Size them up to your eye then trim off a little of the end. Always make sure to be very conservative with how much you trim off. And always trim the outer corner of the lash.
My current favorite lashes to wear are the number 33 from Mac. They look natural and are so comfortable to wear. The glue I use is from KISS. I love that it’s a brush on and dries clear.
BIGGEST MISTAKE
One of the biggest mistakes people make when they’re applying false eyelashes is that they apply them when the glue is still wet. You have to make sure to let the glue dry to a tack form before applying them. You’ll know you didn’t wait long enough because as you apply the lash it will slide around. The glue will start to turn clear but you’ll still see the white from the glue.
When you’re applying the glue to the lash you want to apply it to the band which is at the top of the lashes.
TOOL
I always use tweezers to apply my lashes. I’m confident in using them because I know I won’t hurt myself but if you’re not confident then I would purchase a pair of false eyelashes tweezers. They’re plastic with rounded corners so you won’t scratch your eye.
START WITH THE CENTER
When I apply my lashes I go right towards the center of my eye first then I work to the outer corner gently pushing the lash onto my own lash. Yes, these are attached to your own lashes. Right at the very top.
REMOVE EVERY NIGHT
Never sleep with your false eyelashes. Always remove them every night when you’re doing your nightly skincare routine. I apply eye makeup remover on a square cotton pad then I apply that to my eye and hold it there for a bit. I gently start to wipe in a downward motion and I keep doing this until the lash comes off. You never want to force these off or pull them off because you will take your own lashes with it.
