Three years ago, wow that’s hard to believe!
Anyway, as I was saying, three years ago I updated my daughter’s bedroom.
I’d love to say that my daughter had some input in her bedroom, but she said do whatever you want.
So I did!
We painted her bedroom the same color as the rest of our house, added new furniture that I painted.
Bought new to us bedding from the thrift store, made a lamp, and updated her makeup bench.
It’s pretty much stayed the same for three years.
My daughter is 16 and will be 17 this year, so it was time for another update.
We need to stick to a budget, so I am going to update her room using mostly what we already have.
Her furniture is staying, but it will all get a fresh coat of paint.
I’ll be looking at thrift stores for curtains and bedding.
I’ll be changing her lighting, I may revamp what we already have in her room.
Oh, and the color of the walls is going to change dramatically.
This time we’re going with a cooler color.
I’m thinking a soft silver grey.
I can’t wait to get started!
I’m hoping this change will inspire her to keep her room tidy.
I know you probably just laughed out loud when I said that.
Actually, I just laughed out loud, who am I kidding.
Well, it may stay neat for awhile after it’s done.
I’ll be sharing the entire process of updating her room here on the blog, and also on my YouTube channel.
Don’t worry, I’ll be sharing the video right here on the blog 😉
You’ll be able to watch as I stencil her walls, share my no taping painting method and more!
These photos I shared from my daughters room are from the reveal I shared three years ago.
You really do not want to see her room in the state it’s in today.
I did shoot a video in her room today, but thankfully for your eye’s you won’t see the mess.
I hope that by sharing this room reveal, I’ll inspire you to redecorate a room in your home using little budget.
Are you ready to see the video?
Besides working on this video series, I have a few more that I’ll be sharing and talking about soon!
