Did you know that the color pink is a sign of hope? I guess that is why they use it in Cancer awareness campaigns.
It calms the soul, makes you happy when you are around it.
Gives you the feeling that everything is going to be alright.
Maybe that is why I surround my self with this color in almost every room of my house.
This sweet creamer was added to my cabinet in my dining room, along with a few other pink pieces.
Moving things around getting ready for the party.
Yes still planning on having it because today I am feeling better than I have felt in awhile.
My daughter and husband are feeling much better now too.
The party is not what is important is is that we are all healthy, but I know my daughter has been looking forward to spending the day celebrating with friends and family.
And today is the big day, graduation ceremony is this evening.

That mirror is new in this room too,a vintage piece found while treasure hunting.
I painted it with Vintage Market and Design Porcelain.
I love how the glass has a ghost like appearance to it.
Keeping it simple on the mantle just layering a bit with another mirror,a rose painting and those two candle sticks.
Trying to enjoy simple beauty…..trying not to overly clutter things.
My pink drawer ended up on this table and I may just keep it here.

Thank you so much for keeping me and my family in your prayers.
This virus hit us fast and hard,so thankful to be feeling better again.
I guess there is never good timing for anything, but this happened at such a busy time.
Not only that but our air conditioner is not working hopefully only one more day of no air.

So glad to hear you’re all feeling much better. Bummer about your a/c tho. Do you have ceiling or other fans? Hope so. Take care and hope graduation is wonderful tonight.
The color pink is very soft, that’s how I think of it. Did not know it was sign of hope. If I’d known I’d have made something for our grandson when he had cancer. We are so lucky to still have him. Stage 4 cancer was all thru his body when they found it just before his 14th. b/d.
He had testicular cancer, had surgery for that, had cancerous tumors twice in his neck, surgery removed them, stage 4. Had 5 lbs. of tumors in his abdominal cavity, one under his heart was cancerous. Since he turned 18 he’s been cancer free and is now 20 will be 21 in Nov. He was such a trooper during those 3 yrs. His last year of high school he was able to play football on varsity team. Mostly he did studying at home, etc. as he was sick from chemo and had to spend several periods of time at Childrens’ hospital in Denver. His last surgery, for tumors in his abdomen took 12 hours, he was even in little free paper we get every week, on front page with his surgeon
He was so fortunate to have an excellent surgeon. We had so many people praying for him. He has a good job and is out on his own now. I can’t thank God enough for letting him get thru a very hard time in such a young life. Everybody called him Sunshine due to his positive attitude. Won’t see pink again without thinking of him.
Your mantel is so pretty, love that creamer, so pretty with plate behind it. Have great week.

I’m so glad that y’all are feeling better. You probably all got sick from the stress you’ve been under being so busy. That usually happens to me anyway. I love all the soft pinks in your home. I didn’t know that it meant hope. That’s good to know.
Anne says
Thanks Kelly it is good to finally be feeling better!

Such a pretty mirror, Anne! I love old ones that have that look to the glass. I have one I got from an estate sale in our dining room that has it a little bit. Glad to hear you are all feeling better. This horrible cold seems to be hitting a lot of people {myself included!}. I love pink in just about everything, including clothes. I think it gives such a nice look to the complexion.
