I think I found the perfect milk paint color. Seriously Let me share. I have had this stool for a couple of years or so,and it was in need of a little update. I grew tired of the white washed paint look. A week ago I received an email from Robyn Designs. The email said if you spend 50.00 on Miss Mustard Seed paint products you will receive a free paint mixer. And they are offering free shipping on Miss Mustard Seed paint products too! I noticed that Miss Mustard Seed had lots of new colors. The one that caught my eye was Eulalie’s Sky. I decided to place my order with this paint and her wax too, which by the way is one of my favorites! Not a pretty photo I know, but as you can see it is on my painters tarp ready to get painted. First I want to tell you I love this paint ... View Post
Get Clean Edges Without Using Painters Tape
How would you like to paint your walls and get clean edges without using painters tape. Today is not about pretty photos, but sharing this information on how to get a nice clean edges when painting walls. Yes at one time I used painters tape,I would apply it to my walls in the areas I did not want to get covered with paint. But I found that One it took way too much time to tape. And Two it costs quite a bit for all of that tape. Most importantly I never really got clean edges. The paint would still bleed through the tape, and sometimes the paint would come off with the tape. Don't get me wrong there is a need for painters tape. But when painting a wall, you don't need to use painters tape. This is my chalk board wall in my kitchen, I thought this would be a good wall to share as ... View Post
My Master Bathroom
Recently I shared my next project ,my master bathroom. I still have one more thing to do but I thought I would share my progress so far. Lets first look back at how it looked. Our master bathroom is really small, and it is not in our budget for any big remodel. Which means I need to work with what I already have. Here is what our bathroom looks like now. The paint I used was Glidden Americas finest, and the color I used on my walls in my bathroom, is the same color I have on my walls in my home. I will share that color at the end of this post. I also painted the cabinets Annie Sloan Coco and highlighted the inside with Old ochre. That little lamp is an alabaster lamp I found at a thrift shop,it works great as a nightlight. Love this warm rich color,it is one of my ... View Post

Yes you will be seeing this prom dress quite a bit I am sure! Roses are another of my favorite things,as if you did not already ... View Post
Revisiting Groundhog Day
Today I thought we would be fun revisiting Groundhog day,Every year we attend this special event celebrating Groundhog day. This year with the extreme temperatures we took a pass. And I hope he did not see his shadow,I don't think any of us want 6 more weeks of winter! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Today is Groundhog day.Seems like a silly celebration really, all the commotion over a furry animal that supposedly predicts if it will be an early spring or not.
