On to the number four top most viewed posts,Annie Sloan painted French Chair. Yes I painted this fabric chair with Annie Sloan paint and it's one of my favorite chairs. So glad this did not sell at the vintage market! Not me silly the chair. Seriously I think this chair has an attitude. If you saw the before you would know why. I found this amazing chair at Habitat for humanity. I was shopping for more pieces to bring to the Vintage Market and I spotted this. I knew I could bring this a new life. You see it was stuck in the 80's. The color was all wrong. I painted this whole chair fabric and all with Annie Sloan old white. Yep you heard that right.Even the fabric was painted. Not my original idea.I heard this from Amy at Maison decor She shared that you can ... View Post
Most Viewed Home Tour
We are down to number three of our countdown most viewed posts, and this one is my most viewed home tour. These photos were pinned and pinned and pinned. And of course I have changed a little since these photos were taken. It's fun to look back at the before. Hope you enjoy the tour. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We built our home 7 years ago. When we first moved in I thought about changing my style a bit. My past home was very pastel and had a romantic shabby chic vibe to it. I decided to go a bit darker and more neutral with my colors. And I also decided to do less vintage style and bring in newer pieces. What was I thinking?? Ever since I was a little girl I have always been drawn to older things. Chippy furniture...pieces with detail and ... View Post
The Countdown Continues
And the countdown continues the number four most top viewed and pinned posts. My laundry room reveal. My Laundry room was a challenge.I have been wanting to reveal the laundry room for some time but I was waiting for a few things to get done. I don't have any before photos to share.I don't know why I did not take any.Probably because it was not an over night project but one that took me awhile to accomplish on a budget. I have been sharing bits and pieces of changes like those lockers I found for 50.00 and painted. And that chicken feeder and dairy sign above my washer and dryer. As you can see this room is a challenge. This is not only a laundry room but our entrance/mud room as well. It is large but very narrow. As much as I would love to change my sink, faucet and flooring it's ... View Post
The Top Five
I thought it would be fun to look back and the top five most viewed and pinned posts of the year. My kitchen has had many changes in the past two years so it's no surprise that this was one of the most viewed. Hope you enjoy this look back. I will be counting down and sharing the top five from now until New Years day. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As many of you know my kitchen is one of my favorite rooms in our home. I thought I would share with you the evolution of my kitchen. Some of you may not have been following along when I first started blogging and never saw the before photos. This is one room that changes often but now has more of a style than it did a few years ago. It was not an ugly kitchen and the cabinets were nice....but they were ... View Post
Small Tales France
Months ago I came across this sweet book, translated in English it means Small Tales France. I love finding vintage books but my favorite finds are the petite French books. If the books are in really poor condition I will use them for crafts. But this book is in wonderful condition,so I will enjoy this just sitting out on a table. Very recently I came across this vintage chippy tote. The color and patina spoke to me so it had to come home here with me. I have lots of these vintage wood totes. But none of them are the same and this is the only one that I have that has been painted. I love this original paint and patina. These totes can be used for so many things. I usually always have at least one of these totes out somewhere in my home. I like to place mason jars or old soda ... View Post
The First Gift Of The Season
My first gift of the season was a beautiful one. My sweet Sister in-law knew how much I would love these beautiful ornaments and she was right! These are hand blown ornaments, the colors are so rich and vibrant. The artwork is simply gorgeous. I placed these on the petite tree I have in my family room. This tree is starting to get dry and the needles are starting to fall. I am enjoying it until it is time to take it out to the trash. It should make it until Christmas, but not sure about keeping it up after. Until then I will enjoy these beautiful ornaments and I will cherish them always. ************************************************************** Crazy thing happened to me the other day,I was filling up my car with gas when a reporter stopped over to interview me. We ... View Post
