Transforming A Master Bedroom

October 20, 2013

Transforming a master bedroom, you are probably thinking what again?Didn't you just do this? Why yes I did! In fact it was almost a year ago that my bedroom went through it's first transformation. You can read about it  HERE. I know it has not been quite a year yet but I was ready for a little change. After reading Rachel Ashwell's book I got inspired to make a few changes. Putting some things away and not leaving so much out,a cleaner look. I am trying to focus on pieces I really love and that really make a statement in my rooms. This may come as a shock to you but I wanted to add a little color too! I know.....I know I still love my white. Which is the reason why I love white you can add touches of color to a room filled with white. When I first started ... View Post

New Computer……The Secrets Out

October 13, 2013

Oh my what a week.Yes I am happy to have a new computer. But it is a different operating system than we had before.Windows8 hmmmm not liking it at all so far. You know how it is learning something new and unfamiliar. It can be very frustrating to say the least. Okay.....deep breath...... Before my computer crashed I took a field trip to one of my favorite places to find really cool vintage items. I always enjoy visiting the owner Teresa Wendt. This is my favorite booths, she always has lots of great chippy pieces! Many of my recent chippy finds have come from her booth. The great thing about this shop is it is so eclectic....like I am! It has a little bit shabby chic, and primitive too! Isn't this piece amazing! I just love the ... View Post

A Primitive Ladder

October 3, 2013

One of my recent outings I came across this chippy green primitive ladder. Can you believe I actually saw this weeks ago but I passed it up! Well that was before I brought my door home. When I first spotted it I had no idea where to put it. But after I placed this door here I hated seeing my light switch. This ladder is petite and could be used anywhere, but this is the perfect spot in my house. I love the color and chippy patina. You can see I added pedestals for my pumpkins. One is a cake plate and the other is a candle stand. Oh so much better and I don't have to see my ugly light switch. Okay I know I am not the only one that covers up light switches and outlets....right! Because I love the chippy patina and I did not want to cover it up I only added ... View Post

ABOUT THIS BLOG

ABOUT THIS BLOG

Hi I'm Anne.
I started this blog many years ago to share my passion for home decor. My tastes have changed and so did I.
We recently moved to Florida and we are starting a new chapter. My main focus on this blog has shifted. With that I'll be sharing more than home decor.
You'll see makeup tips, skincare, fashion and a little bit of decor as well. You can check out my Youtube channel as well and follow me along. I'll leave all of my older posts up as a reference. But you'll see lots of changes.
