A Primitive Ladder
One of my recent outings I came across this chippy green primitive ladder. Can you believe I actually saw this weeks ago but I passed it up! Well that was before I brought my door home. When I first spotted it I had no idea where to put it. But after I placed this door here I hated seeing my light switch. This ladder is petite and could be used anywhere, but this is the perfect spot in my house. I love the color and chippy patina. You can see I added pedestals for my pumpkins. One is a cake plate and the other is a candle stand. Oh so much better and I don't have to see my ugly light switch. Okay I know I am not the only one that covers up light switches and outlets....right! Because I love the chippy patina and I did not want to cover it up I only added ... View Post
A Change In The Living room
A recent find prompted a change in the living room. I am sure you remember that I originally had my vintage wood baking rack in my kitchen. But after I found this door I knew I would have to move the vintage rack. You know how it is....you find something and in your mind you know the perfect spot for a new found treasure. At first I added the baking rack to my dining room but it just did not look right with the pieces I already had in that room. Next stop was the living room. As soon as I put this rack in the living room it fit perfectly with the style and decor I have in this room. It actually looks better in here than my kitchen! It has a little bit of a farmhouse industrial feel to it. And since I moved it I also had to change what I ... View Post
The Scoop
Wow can you believe today is the last day of September? Where does the time go? I am starting to clip my hydrangea branches off. Just bringing them in to enjoy before they go. I found a lovely bouquet at the market today. The colors are a soft pink with a soft peachy color. Adding some of my hydrangeas to the mix. I only pick fresh flowers up when they are on sale. And this week they were. They look pretty propped on my little pink step ladder in my dining room. Are you ready to party? Well let's get it started! Welcome back to The Scoop The weekly linky party featuring the scoop on the best posts from around the web! More exposure + less time = win win! We are Anita from Cedar Hill Ranch, Linsey from Farmhouse Porch, Debbie from ... View Post
Making Changes To A Corner
I recently made some changes to my corner of my kitchen. If you follow me on instagram you saw a sneak peek at this vintage door. One of my favorite antique shops had this sweet door! Not only the door but that sconce was part of the deal. I thought about it for a bit and decided to purchase it. When I bring new treasures into my home that also means I need to let somethings go. That included a door that I had previously in my family room. Not the door that my friend Kris from Junk Chic Cottage gave me. But the door I found at a garage sale. That door will be sold in a upscale thrift shop in town. Don't you love this sweet hankie hanging on this sconce. Yes the pearls...and the hankie came with this door. I loved how she staged it and kept it as ... View Post
