Before I started my blog I was a  self DIY-er. When my daughter was small I remember working on small projects while she was taking her afternoon nap. One day I decided the piano should be white so I painted it. And then I thought my kitchen table,chairs and hutch would look amazing...painted....white! Or how about the time I decided that I should smash all my pretty rose pattern china. and..... do a mosaic on my kitchen counters! Wow how unique and cool. I mean how hard can it be. Still enjoying my time with my daughter this week thought I would share another post that you all may not have seen the first time around. First I wanted to thank you all for your sweet comments.I am feeling much much better today thank you. We went  out today with some friends and did a little fun shopping !   I have been searching for an old wood ice cream machine ever since I spotted one on Becky's blog Buckets of Burlap . I have many things on my favorite list. It seems like the list keeps growing. I already have a fondness for old chippy tables. In case you did not already know that. But I also LOVE this old barn door of mine. It has come along way and changes quite often. I came across this old vintage mirror. It was love at first site! I love the curved shape and the old wavy glass. Some chips and a bit of crazing it seems perfect for this farmhouse kitchen. I get lots of questions about where I found  this French bottle rack. Yesterday was an amazing day! I am sure you remember I mentioned  Jennifer Rizzo organized a Midwest meet up. Yesterday was the day! We met at Room 363  a beautiful shop owned by Mark Norkaitis. We ate a light breakfast and mingled. Shopped a bit....had lunch..... met at paper source for a card craft. Thank you Sharon Rexford for organizing that! Wish I had taken better photos. The room was a bit tight and hard to shoot photos. I was thrilled to have met some many other bloggers. But I have to admit there were two ladies I was really excited to finally meet.
