Scheduling and staying on schedule is not an easy task. It has been a personal challenge for me balancing my days. My job wears many hats. Besides being a business woman, I am also a Mother and wife. My work days are long, and I don't have a day off. I go between working and being a mother, and all that it entails throughout my day. Besides working on projects that I write for my site, I also need to promote my business. That means spending lots of time on social media. And we all know how many social media outlets there are. It seems like they add a new one every couple of months! They do have services that offer scheduling for social media, but I still like to do most of my social media organically. But, I only have so much time in a day. Oh, and besides this site, and ... View Post
Dining Room Transformed Into A Office
Dining Room Transformed Into A Office Once upon a time I had a dream about a formal dining room. My dream involved fancy dinner parties with exquisite dinnerware. Amazing conversation with my family and friends. While dining under the glimmer of a crystal chandelier, we would laugh, tell stories for hours after the meal was over. I had visions of soft candlelight, music....yeah... you get the picture right? Well, I do have many fond memories of dinners in my dining room, although, as the years have passed we have used our dining room less and less. So each day I passed my by my pretty formal dining room, I gave it a glance and walked away. Each week dusting and cleaning my pretty table set, but never using it. And with the thought of moving in the coming years, one room that I don't want ... View Post

Painted Furniture Technique Adding Patina
Painted Furniture I love painted furniture pieces, and I also love coming up with new, creative and fun ways to add texture and patina to a piece. My friend Paula came up with this idea and when I saw her painted furniture piece I nearly fell off my chair. Seriously! ***This post contains affiliate links, and this was a sponsored post, please read disclosure policy*** This is not a cool or pretty desk, it was found at a resale shop. We have many of those around here. When I spotted it my first thought was, this would make a cool table to create a faux farmhouse table. But I actually found a table that worked better for a faux farm table. You can read about that HERE. So, then I thought why not use this as a desk since it is a desk, duh! This was pretty cheap at ... View Post
Have You Heard About bHome
Many months ago I heard about bHome. It's an app that was only available on an iphone. I was totally bummed that I couldn't access it. So why was I so bummed that I couldn't access it, and what is bHome? bHome is a very cool app that contains all of your favorite blogs and sites, over 40 in all and growing! How cool is that, all of your favorite blogs and sites on one app!! Instead of bookmarking and searching for your favorite sites, they are all right there in the palm of your hand on one super cool app on your phone! New Treasures
I just added new treasures to the shop, and since I haven't shared what's new in the shop in sometime now, I thought today I would. I also want to mention one more thing about the survey, but fist let's take a look at what's new in the shop. I've had this French basket for many years. I bought it from a dear friend of mine, but since I am slowly downsizing I am letting it go. I have used it for my dried hydrangea's, and pumpkins and much more. It's a bit tattered, but oh so perfectly Shabby Chic! I love collecting silverware, I have been for years. These pieces are part of my collection that I am letting go. Yes it's very mismatched. It's an interesting collection, many pieces have monograms, and one even says United with the United Airlines symbol. I can't imagine how old ... View Post
