This will probably be one of the last posts of the year,I thought it would be fun to look back at the best of tours 2014, along with some of my projects too! One of the first tours I was a part of was the Hearts At Home Tour. I enjoyed sharing a little about me and my style, and I also enjoyed visiting all the other beautiful homes. I enjoyed reading as each of us have a story to tell. Every home has a story. Last January I as also a part of the Valentine Showcase, which featured 20 other blogs that shared crafts, recipes and much more! I shared this simple to make heart shaped wreath. This took me 10 minutes to make, yes it was that simple! Last January was a busy month because I was also a part of the Handmade Beauty And Household Products tour. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! Tonight I will be celebrating Christmas Eve at our old church and with my family. Can't believe we have no snow on the ground, but secretly I am not complaining :-). I have shared my home tour but never shared my front porch decorated for the holidays. Here are a few night shot photos. As you can see I can't get a good shot of our whole house, just the porch.it's a little too dark and I don't like using a flash. I do have wreaths on our Garage Windows too, which is right next to our porch. I love the simple look of wreaths with red bows,it's a classic look. My planter stays out with a few greens tucked inside. The only lights we add are the ones wrapped around the posts, and then we add a red bow. I also added a pair of skis with a fresh bunch of greens and a ... View Post
Craft Idea For Your Shabby Inspired Home
Craft Idea For Your Shabby Inspired Home Today I'm sharing this simple craft idea to add a little shabby style to your home. I've shared this before, but I'll say it again. I always look for pieces to add in my home that are not only decorative, but also have a purpose and use. Let's take a look at this old wood tote. I found this tote at a thrift store. It's pretty as it has a lovely patina. But I wanted to add a little shabby style to it that would reflect the look of my home. This tote can be used for a bathroom to store little extras. It can be used on a makeup table for storing makeup and brushes. I can see this being used to store extra brushes and hair products. Yeah this can be used for many purposes. But today I wanted to show you how to add shabby style and create a little ... View Post
