I recently shared that I don't normally use vases for my flowers,I love using unique pieces,but I just could not pass up on this sweet vintage white vase. I knew a small bouquet of flowers would look beautiful in this vintage white vase. Not planning on keeping this tray or this vintage white vase here on this wash stand table,but I knew it would make a beautiful spot for my photos. All of my favorite things together in a photo! I never know what I am going to come across when I am out treasure hunting,like this sweet French vanity tray,not always knowing what I will find and what I will do with a piece when I find it. Are you like that? Do you go out treasure hunting never knowing what treasures you will find? Or do you have an agenda of things on a ever going wishlist that seems to get longer? One of the reasons I decided to name this my White Lace Cottage is because of my love of lace,I have been in love with lace for many years especially vintage lace. Many years ago I came across lots of scrap pieces of lace,and one piece was from a vintage skirt. Considering how old this piece is, it's in amazing condition. Still pretty much in tack,and it is so soft. I thought I would add a touch of lace to my vintage washstand table I have next to our bed in our room. Gently draped over the bar on this washstand. It adds a touch of romance and softness to our room. I am very fortunate that my sweet husband enjoys the little feminine touches I add to our home. Recently I came across this  French  mirror while out treasure hunting. My upstairs hallway  is pretty simple,I don't have anything else but a mirror hanging on the wall. I love the style and details, but not the gold color. The price was a bit more than I would actually pay,but still a lovely find. I had another mirror hanging in here but it was a little too plain and a bit too small. That is a reflection of my daughters door on her bathroom. I decided to use a very pale pink,Vintage Market and Design paint in Porcelain,yes I know I use that color  allot. It's one of my favorite colors,as if you did not already know. Not every linen needs to be vintage in my home,but most are. Every once in a while I come across a newer piece that looks vintage. Most of those are usually Rachel Ashwell, I do have a bit of luck coming across Rachel Ashwell linens. I had to darken this photo a little when I was editing because the colors are so faded and muted it was hard to capture on a photo. Not sure if this is a Rachel Ashwell spread or not,but it sure looks like it is. It's a full size spread with gorgeous faded pink roses,bits of light green too.
