My first gift of the season was a beautiful one. My sweet Sister in-law knew how much I would love these beautiful ornaments and she was right! These are hand blown ornaments, the colors are so rich and vibrant. The artwork is simply gorgeous. I placed these on the petite tree I have in my family room. This tree is starting to get dry and the needles are starting to fall. I am enjoying it until it is time to take it out to the trash. It should make it until Christmas, but not sure about keeping it up after. Until then I will enjoy these beautiful ornaments and I will cherish them always. ************************************************************** Crazy thing happened to me the other day,I was filling up my car with gas when a reporter stopped over to interview me. Guest Bathroom Mini Makeover
My guest bathroom is a very hard room to shoot. It is very small and has a 9 ft ceiling, it's narrow and dark. This room was quite a challenge to decorate too. I have been collecting different mirrors and things to add to this room. I know I did not take a before photo but there really was nothing to look at. You can see how small this room is. I was going to use this ladder on another project, but as I was pulling this room together I thought the ladder would make a great towel rack. The vintage chamber pot was found months ago at a thrift shop. I just added some dried twigs to this vintage commode courtesy of my sweet friend. The added height is perfect. I decided to add that frame around the mirror. It really brings the two together and fills up the wall space. I ... View Post
Lucky Junk And Girlfriends
On Friday the 13th I hooked up with some of my girlfriends and headed on over to see the grand opening Lucky Junk. Yes it was a very lucky Friday the 13th for them! Janet and Bill are the sweetest couple ever! Their shop is absolutely amazing filled with beautiful vintage treasures. A mix of industrial,French,Shabby,Nordic style. These photos are a little blurry,I used my phone. And yes that is me peeking out from the back. Not sure why I am bending over I am one of the tallest here. My photos do not do justice. That mantle is amazing! She has so many beautiful treasures. Janet's displays left me so inspired! And I did take a few treasures home with me. I spied this vintage pair of tap shoes. Love the patina and style. That tattered ribbon tie is perfection! I ... View Post
Adding Charm With A Boxwood Wreath
Yes I am adding a little charm with a boxwood wreath. It was the deal of the day recently at Decor Steals. The color is so pretty and vibrant. All that's needed is a little spritzing of water to keep it fresh. This easel is in my landing, and it's always changing. The oil painting that was on this easel had been on here for awhile. It was time for a change. I love that chippy old window frame. And yes that window frame was in my bedroom. It had dried roses hanging from it. I like to keep things simple,I nailed the window frame to the easel because the window frame is a little too short. Then I added a piece of soft pink ribbon and tied it into a bow. You don't get much simpler than this! Don't you love this chippy patina on this window! And I love the contrast of the ... View Post

A Holiday Word Tree
I just shared these sweet little word cards and thought they would look cute as a holiday word tree. These were found recently at a local shop Tattered-tiques You may have gotten a sneak peek at them on my post A Simple Holiday table setting. As I said before I am going to have lots of fun with these cards! I clipped these word cards onto these twig branches using vintage silver clip on candle holders. My first idea was to hang these using twine, but then I would have had to make a hole in each of the cards and I really did not want to do that. These cards slip right on and the branches help keep them in place. After Christmas I may leave this up with the winter card and some of the other cards I bought, like shabby, chic, and farmhouse. Don't you love simple ideas! Don't ... View Post
