MAKEUP FOR MATURE SKIN

Yep you read the title right.I now have a kitchen chalkboard wall. I have been wanting a chalkboard in my kitchen for awhile.But I really don't have the room for it. And then I started seeing walls painted with chalkboard paint all over pinterest. I know that there is an art to this but I need lots of practice. When I started thinking about doing a chalkboard wall I decided that I wanted to have inspirational quotes. Something happy and cheerful to look at everyday. Welcome to my open house.I bet your wondering how to create a new blog header. Well if you are thinking that I did this on my own you would be wrong. I am not that computer savvy but sweet Janel from Nellie Bellie is! Janel used photos I took and created this beautiful header that really shows my style don't you think? I shared this post a year ago and wanted to share it with you today. Memorial Day has special meaning to me my Grandfather fought in WWII. He never talked about it most war veterans don't . What they saw and what they fought for is too painful to remember. This will last them their whole life. These Men were boys fighting for a war...fighting for our freedom. Women too have made this same sacrifice. I can't imagine the fear,and pain that they endured. Even after fighting and coming home. I Salute them...each and everyone! Thank you.... While out shopping for new cushions for our front porch chairs I found this water dispenser that looks like a mason jar perfect for lemon water! This would be great for ice tea or lemonade too but our favorite drink in this house is water. Yes I do drink my coffee everyday however I am the only one in this house that drinks it. I find myself drinking lemon water  more often this time of the year. Usually I have a pitcher out filled with lemon slices and water but  when I came across this mason jar water dispenser I fell in love with the color and style. Perfect for my kitchen don't you think!   Wanting to change our front porch and was searching my brain to think of some ideas for decorating our outdoor porch. Right now it is the only outdoor area we have to  decorate. To get some ideas for decorating our front porch I ran into one my favorite thrift shops in town. The owner Judy has a great eye and I knew she would give me some great ideas to get my creative juices flowing. My front porch is not very large.It can be difficult to decorate such a small area.
