Very recently I came across a deal on Decor Steals If you have not heard of Decor Steals it is an online shop that features cool and unique finds daily. But you have to get act quickly because things sell out really fast. I wanted to share two of my recent deals. That olive bucket and the lavender inside are the two recent deals. I knew I wanted that bucket when the deal popped up and I also knew what I wanted to do with it. Adding lavender is not an original idea but it was the look I wanted. Although this could be used for so many other things ! I love the patina on this and it is quite heavy ! A pair of these would look amazing on a front porch ! I love the details ! The lavender smells amazing! And yes that is a new farm table I ... View Post
Painted Cottage Fence
It's crunch time for me as I am closely approaching the Vintage market. I am planning on bringing a variety of awesome found treasures. Some painted pieces of furniture, some vintage fabrics, and a fun mix of this and that. I found these pieces of a vintage fence last summer. I decided to connect them together and add that pretty rose. The rose was originally an ugly dirty red I don't know how else to describe it. I painted this using a brush with Annie Sloan paint in pure white. Spray paint could have been used but I like the texture of Annie Sloan paint. I was inspired to paint it this way because of my sweet friend Rosemary. She is so talented and amazing. Rosemary uses gesso and layers many of her creations. So when I saw this rose I new I ... View Post
A Silly Poem and a Farmhouse
Old beauty warms my heart heals my soul.... Light in color wraps around......... Front door opens laughter rings....... Cool new car drives up the path.... A cow awaits looking in....... Vintage style makes me smile.... color is light and sweet....... I wonder what dreams await while softly sleeping..... Looking in the window view to times that have passed and those still new...... She gently smiles her heart is gold........or so I'm told...... This poem must end but remember this..... Time goes way too fast you know.... Take time to relax and go with the flow......??? Okay is that a silly poem or what. I told you I was not a writer. I found that sweet little old farmhouse toy and wanted to ... View Post
Vintage Pink
How do you feel about pink? I don't mean just any pink but vintage pink. You know like this pink. A little tattered...faded....rusty and.....chippy. With a little bit of white peeling off. You know how much I LOVE white! But lately I have been starting to add just a bit more pink to my home. Mostly in my kitchen. About a year ago I found this old scale. Only it was all pink. So I thought I should paint over it white! WHAT!? Yep that's what I said I painted it white. I knew when I was painting it I would later regret doing that. Yesterday I decided I wanted to the pink back. I tried sanding it off well it did not work. I wanted to strip the paint off without stripping it off all. I had some of those Mr.Clean magic erasers and decided to ... View Post

A New Life For A Table
The clock is ticking and time is drawing nearer to the Vintage Market . I was not able to work on any projects while my daughter was off on her spring break. Spending time with her is more important to me. And I still have time. This table had nice features it just needed a little update. Roses are a favorite of mine even when they are dried. I love the color and texture. I will be bringing some of these to the market as well. I did mention that this was a table that had been updated. I decided to use Annie Sloan chalk paint in a mixture of Louis Blue,Paris Grey, and French linen. Mixing these colors until I got the color I wanted which was a silver blue/grey. It came with this beautiful serving tray. Look at the details on this ... View Post
