MAKEUP FOR MATURE SKIN

While we are waiting for the  reveal of  my daughters room makeover I thought I would share a piece that I just brought into her room. It was in much need of repair so I knew paint would look amazing on this piece. Some may cringe when they see the before photo and wonder why I would paint such a lovely piece. But as I said it needed much repair. Parts of the wood were chipping off. Some water damage too. But since I knew what I wanted to do and was looking for a distressed piece that was going to work for my benefit. Isn't this a lovely piece! This dresser was found at a thrift store. Yesterday was Groundhog day.Seems like a silly celebration really.All the commotion over a furry animal that supposedly predicts if it will be an early spring or not. But in 1993 a film crew came to Woodstock Illinois to  film the movie Groundhog day.And ever since they left this town has been celebrating  groundhog day in a big way! People anxiously awaiting the announcement.We arrived there bright and early in the morning.The temperature was 18.It was quite cold. Bright and early all bundled up.
