Accent Wall And Simple Kitchen Updates (Sponsored post and affiliate links, please read disclosure policy) I've been longing for a much simpler look in my home these days. The older I get the less stuff I want in my home. I started purging and getting rid of things many months ago. After ridding my home of all of the stuff I felt that it was time for a change. As much as I love pink I needed less of it in my home. I started by painting my family room and kitchen walls using Sherwin Williams paint color Snowbound. It's a beautiful white with a hint of grey. I added an accent wall to my family room and my kitchen using RoomMates peel and stick wallpaper. A little disclaimer..this post is not a reveal. But I'm sharing the changes I've made and what changes will be next. It's been a ... View Post
Chalk Painted Kitchen Cabinets Never Again!
Chalk Painted Kitchen Cabinets Never Again! You're probably reading this title and thinking seriously? I thought she was all about chalk painted kitchen cabinets. Well let me tell you why I painted my cabinets using Annie Sloan cp and why I would never do it again. Five years ago I started my blog. After looking at photos of my home I was taken back at how my home didn't reflect the real me. When we were building my home and I was choosing colors and cabinets I picked maple cabinets with a dark finish. This is totally not me at all. But at the time that we were picking things out for our home I was under lots of stress. We purchased this home but still hadn't sold our last home. Something I would never ever do again! Skincare For Mature Skin The Essentials
Skincare For Mature Skin The Essentials Confession time. I've been trying to find skincare for mature skin for quite awhile. Last winter I thought I found a perfect match for my skin. I started using a new skincare line for me. It's called Rodan and Fields. I shared it on my blog because as I started using it I started seeing amazing results. After using it for a few weeks I noticed that my skin was getting dry. I stopped using it contacted my friend. She suggested that I use Soothe after using soothe for a month or so I did see that my skin wasn't as dry. She suggested that I go back to my regimen that was called redefine. Again I started seeing amazing results for 3 weeks. I was so impressed I thought why not sell it too so I can get a discount. Although that's not quite how it works. ... View Post
Reusable Wallpaper Faux Wood Accent Wall
Reusable Wallpaper Faux Wood Accent Wall I've been longing for a simpler look in my home along with a change. Since we are thinking of selling in the next couple of years I didn't want to make any changes on my walls that couldn't be easily changed. I love the look of wood plank walls. But decided against adding planks to my walls for two reasons. One is that it would cost quite a bit of money since I don't have the proper tools. Another reason is that I am chicken of using power tools without help. The third reason is that as I said above I don't want to add any wall treatments that can't be easily changed. I started searching for ideas on the internet and found peel and stick removable wallpaper. I had a light bulb moment and thought about using reusable wallpaper to create a faux wood ... View Post
