Outdoor Furniture
Outdoor Furniture Outdoor furniture can be a challenge. A few years ago we built our screened in porch, it was one of the best decisions we've ever made. This was a dream of ours for many, many, many years. You can read about that HERE. At our previous house we added a cement porch, but we hardly used it because we couldn't really enjoy the outdoors eating with all of the bugs. It was then that I decided that if we moved again we would build a screened in porch. Before we built our screened porch I found the perfect outdoor furniture. I think it's from the 1950's and it was in really good condition, the cushions just needed a little paint update. But, after sitting outside the last few years, our outdoor furniture started to rot. I knew I needed to change these out, and I'm lucky I do ... View Post
DIY Bathroom Mirror Frame Update
DIY Bathroom Mirror Frame Update Update a bathroom cheap by using what you already have. I'm on a tight budget like most of you, and I can't afford to completely update and renovate my master bedroom. If I had a magic wand I would rip the tub out that we never use and replace it with a linen closet to store all of our stuff. Then I would take our vanity out and replace it with an old dresser, but add double sinks. I'd also take the medicine cabinet out. Next, I would take the floors out and replace it with tile, and I would redesign our shower. This bathroom update was easy to do. One of my favorite projects was my simple DIY bathroom mirror frame. I've had so many people ask how I decluttered, purged and parted with my things. Today I wanted to share home organization ideas to help alleviate stress. Before I share tips on home organization ideas, let me share a little about why it's so easy for me to declutter. When I was a kid probably five or six years old, my Dad told me to clean my closet. It was huge mess, I don't think I had my clothes on hangers, but thrown in the closet along with my toys. My Dad warned me that if the mess wasn't cleaned up within a certain amount of time it would all end up in the trash. I panicked ... View Post
Make Money Hosting Garage Sales
Make Money Hosting Garage Sales Make money hosting a garage, yard or a pop up shop sale. So, what's the difference between these? Well, a garage sale is held in your garage, a yard sale is in your yard, and a pop up shop is basically a shop that you open up in your garage or home. Garage Transformed Into A Pop Up Shop
Garage Transformed Into A Pop Up Shop Okay so the idea to hold a sale jumped into my head a few weeks ago,and I had an idea about the possibility to transfom my garage into a pop up shop. But how was I going to transform my garage when it looked like this. Last week my family and I took off for a week of adventure. And the that time I kept thinking about how I could pull this off. This is a three car garage with the third door separate. The ceiling is 9ft,actually I think it may be 10 ft tall. At first I thought about leaving the walls in my garage as is but they are not really pretty and would distract from the merchandise. Garage Transformation First thing that I did was paint my garage walls a creamy white color, I used paint I already had on hand. And to drape if off and ... View Post
