Outdoor Space That Has Beautiful Style

June 5, 2016

Outdoor Space That Has Beautiful Style My outdoor space has just been given a super quick update. And for very little money I gave my outdoor space style. Oh, and I wanted to thank you all for sharing your thoughts and ideas, they were super helpful. If you missed it, you can read about that HERE. (This post contains affiliate links, please see disclosure policy) I was thinking of purchasing a new table and chair set, but you've convinced me to wait and use what I already have. So, I went out and purchased several cans of Krylon Color Master paint in white satin. My brown chairs really sucked up this paint. It took two cans of paint for each chair. I also painted my green bounce chair using this same paint, this took a can of paint. My next dilemma was what cushions to get ... View Post

Home Decor Ideas Using Less Is More

May 31, 2016

Home Decor Ideas Less Is More Home decor Ideas using less is more is the new way of thinking in my home. Not sure if it's the fact that I want to downsize in a few years, or that I'm getting lazy and don't feel like cleaning all the stuff in my oversized house. Several weeks ago I held my annual vintage sale at my home, and I sold most of my crap stuff. And when I say most of my stuff, I'm not talking about things I was holding on for the sale. But pieces that were actually in my home being used. Do you remember this photo of my  over stuffed garage? ( Sponsored post, and may contain affiliate links please read disclosure policy) My plan in the next couple of years is to downsize, I'm hoping it's my husbands plan too. So, I've been slowly purging and getting rid of my ... View Post

Painting Kitchen Cabinets Chalk Or Latex

May 29, 2016

Painting Kitchen Cabinets Painting kitchen cabinets is a great way to update a kitchen. Even if your kitchen cabinets are really old and outdated, painting kitchen cabinets will bring new life to your kitchen. Most people think of white cabinets when they think about painting kitchen cabinets, but your cabinets don't need to be painted white. I chose white because of the style of my home, but you can choose any color that you'd like. Since I receive this question the most, I thought today I  would talk about the two ways of painting kitchen cabinets. Both take just as much work in my opinion, although I didn't realize it when I first decided to paint my cabinets. Outdoor Furniture

May 23, 2016

Outdoor Furniture Outdoor furniture can be a challenge. A few years ago we built our screened in porch, it was one of the best decisions we've ever made. This was a dream of ours for many, many, many years. You can read about that HERE. At our previous house we added a cement porch, but we hardly used it because we couldn't really enjoy the outdoors eating with all of the bugs. It was then that I decided that if we moved again we would build a screened in porch. Before we built our screened porch I found the perfect outdoor furniture. I think it's from the 1950's and it was in really good condition, the cushions just needed a little paint update. But, after sitting outside the last few years, our outdoor furniture started to rot. I knew I needed to change these out, and I'm lucky I do ... View Post

DIY Bathroom Mirror Frame Update

May 22, 2016

DIY Bathroom Mirror Frame Update Update a bathroom cheap by using what you already have. I'm on a tight budget like most of you, and I can't afford to completely update and renovate my master bedroom. If I had a magic wand I would rip the tub out that we never use and replace it with a linen closet to store all of our stuff. Then I would take our vanity out and replace it with an old dresser, but add double sinks. I'd also take the medicine cabinet out. Next, I would take the floors out and replace it with tile, and I would redesign our shower. This bathroom update was easy to do. One of my favorite projects was my simple DIY bathroom mirror frame. (This post contains affiliate links please read disclosure policy) Before I talk about the bathroom mirror frame let me share a few of ... View Post

ABOUT THIS BLOG

ABOUT THIS BLOG

Hi I'm Anne.
I started this blog many years ago to share my passion for home decor. My tastes have changed and so did I.
We recently moved to Florida and we are starting a new chapter. My main focus on this blog has shifted. With that I'll be sharing more than home decor.
You'll see makeup tips, skincare, fashion and a little bit of decor as well. You can check out my Youtube channel as well and follow me along. I'll leave all of my older posts up as a reference. But you'll see lots of changes.
