Table Repair Simple Cheap And Easy To Do I knew that this flaw would be a simple table repair. Let me tell you the story behind this table first. The other day I met up with a good friend for lunch and after lunch we walked into a resale shop, one that she owned for many years until she retired. Well, I spotted a little table that I thought would work great in my bedroom. The price was right, but as I was showing the table to my friend she told me that she had a table very similar, and she said that I could just have it. What...wait...what??? Did my friend say free? Remember, I'm el cheapo ;-) We swung by her house, I took a look at it and said, yep, I'll take it, no need to convince me. Seriously, like I'm going to pass up a free French provincial piece of furniture? Ah, no way Jose ! ... View Post
Reupholstering This Thrift Shop Stool
Reupholstering This Thrift Shop Stool This thrifty find is going to get an update as I'm reupholstering this stool. A few years ago my style was farmhouse/industrial, I fell hard for old typewriters, metal lamps, globes, and well you get the idea. I've sold most of those pieces as I've fallen hard for my shabby romantic style. A few years ago I stumbled onto this stool, It's an old stool from an art class. I know this because on the bottom it's stamped with the high school name, and written in marker it says "Art Class". At the time I purchased this I loved the patina on the stool and the legs were worn and perfectly grey. I was using this stool in my studio, but for over a year it's been sitting all alone and it's not been used. That sounds so sad doesn't it. Today was the ... View Post
