What’s New In The Shop
Wow, I haven't done this in a while! Today I am sharing what's new in the shop. I've had so many people ask me if I still have a shop, so I guess I need to go back to sharing what's new in the shop when I add new treasures. I have to be honest and tell you that, I've had a hard time finding new and cool treasures. I had a source, but that source is getting out of the biz. I'm very picky about the treasures I find, I mean if I wouldn't put it in my own home and if I don't really love it, then I don't buy it. Since we are almost in the holiday season, I thought I should add a few holiday treasures. And I've also added treasures that would make a wonderful gift for yourself or someone special. I found this tree last year around this time, I love it, but I have no where to put ... View Post
How To Make A Christmas Tree Garland
Tis the season... Yes, I am decorating my home for the holiday season. I know that we are only in the beginning of November, but I can't wait until the end of the month to put my trees up and start decorating. Repainting Kitchen Cabinets And A Giveaway
****This giveaway has ended**** Several years ago I made the decision that I would paint my kitchen cabinets. And it was the best decision ever! I've had many tell me how much they love the white cabinets, and a few that ask me if I actually cook in my kitchen. Oh, that's so hilarious, well I do cook, I don't like too, but I do. Anyway after almost 4 years, they started getting a little dingy. So I decided it was time to add a fresh coat of paint. Only this time I wanted to use my signature paint color White Lace. It was very easy to do, I just applied White Lace right over the old paint color. It's a perfect match for the color that was originally on my cabinets. This time instead of distressing my cabinets, I just painted and sealed them. No sanding or distressing. I ... View Post
How To Hang Curtains The Right Way
How To Hang Curtains The Right Way Curtains are one of the most expensive accents for a room, and usually the most frustrating to figure out as far as hanging them.I started searching for curtain rods only to find that they were super expensive. Since I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a curtain rod I decided to make my own. Even though I don't have an electric saw I knew it would be easy to use my hand saw to cut a wood dowel. I measured my window, and cut a wood dowel half the size of my window. Drilled holds on both ends of my dowel so I could reuse the finials I had on my previous rod. Then painted it. The wooden bracket was purchased on etsy. Now it was time to start thinking about what curtains to purchase and how to hang them. (This post contains ... View Post
