Lynch Creek Farms Giveaway
I was searching for fresh wreaths and garland and I stumbled onto Lynch Creek Farms. I was drawn to the beauty and style of there wreaths and garland. And then I read their story. Lynch Creek Farm started out as a hobby, they needed something to keep there children busy and out of trouble. They started out with an organic farm back in 1984,where they sold there goods at the Olympia Farmers Market. It's the 2nd largest farmers market in Washington State and they still sell there today. I love the story of this family and business. They worked hard and made their dream a reality. You can see the love and care with each piece. When these arrived at my door each piece was packed very well, with a message on the box to make sure and open this right away! As soon as I opened this ... View Post
Shabby Chic Style Dresser
Recently while I was out treasure hunting I came across this gorgeous vintage Shabby Chic style dresser. I never know what I will come across when I am out treasure hunting. As I have shared before I mostly shop thrift stores and I am really lucky coming across cool vintage pieces. But this one is probably one of my favorite finds ever! This piece screams Shabby Chic! I think if Rachel Ashwell saw it she would be quite happy too! Now I really did not need another piece of furniture for my home. But how could I pass up a gorgeous piece like this? It's hand painted and the patina is absolutely amazing! I paid very little for this piece.lets just say it was under $20.00! Inside this gorgeous piece of furniture it is marked Berkey & Gay which is a very good furniture ... View Post
What’s New In The Shop
I have some exciting news concerning my shop but before we get to that let's take a look at what's new in the shop this week. I love finding pretty linens and I was thrilled to come across these lovely treasures. First is the beautiful pair of Rachel Ashwell pillow shams from her Simply Shabby Chic line. Adorned with these gorgeous pink roses in a beautiful shabby chic green, and the ruffles are perfection! These are quite large and I am guessing they are king size. Besides using these on your bed, they would look perfect on a sofa or an oversize chair! These look like Rachel Ashwells but they are not. But still they have lots of Shabby Chic charm. Again this set has a lovely Shabby Chic and gorgeous pink roses. And those sweet ruffles. This sham is a one and done ... View Post
No Sew Tree Skirt Tutorial
No Sew Tree Skirt Tutorial In case you didn't know, well I don't sew. That's not totally true. I could sew if I had a sewing machine. The last time I used a sewing machine was 1980 something when I was in high school. I can get pretty pretty creative without using a sewing machine. This new sew tree skirt is super easy and thrifty to make. Supplies needed: Painters canvas Decorative trim Glue gun Scissors You will need to know the width of your tree before starting. I know not everyone has a faux tree like I do. Take a tape measure and measure from the trunk of your tree to the outer part of your tree. You can also cheat if a friend has a tree skirt or if you have an old one that you are replacing because that can be your template. If you have an existing tree skirt you ... View Post
